Horseshoe Cleveland Primaries how do you feel about the wear? (1 Viewer)

Glad to hear that you guys are happy with them. Perhaps I'm just being overly picky. But even the pics you guys just posted above have what I'm calling the lawnmower effect. Mine look the same. I think I just hate flea bites :(

I found the wear on the primaries to be really nice... like I could actually use them.

I love the feel of sharp, mint Paulson's but I also find them a bit... I dunno... intimidating - like I shouldn't be dinging around chips that I can't replace and which cost me $300 a rack or whatever. Slightly used chips have a nice feel without that 'I'm gonna ruin these' aftertaste.

I feel the same way. I'm a little afraid to put mint chips into play. They just feel so perfect!

Plus it's like a car that you drive off the lot. Seems like once they are in play and start to get dings and flea bites their re-sale value tanks.

I cringe at the thought of guys putting $3K+ Secondary sets into play lol!!!

Enjoy them however you like I guess, everyone is different.

I absolutely love buying slightly used chips at a discount. Plus they are already broken in!

Once a month home games are far from casino use in terms of abuse chips take. I have used my PCA set for years while not every month often enough and they still have sharp edges and I would have a hard time finding any flea bites on any of them.

Home game use isn't going to knock off 25% of the value of truly mint chips. And if they are really desirable chips it may not decrease the value at all.

Amen! They're poker chips. They're made to be played with. They WANT to be played with. And if somebody wants to splash the pot like Teddy KGB, go for it. What the hell.
