repeating spot patterns not a problem for you?Agree. Planning on using these with the 1a and the prim $5
No, at least not until you drew my attention to it. Lolrepeating spot patterns not a problem for you?
That's the biggest challenge with the HSI's in general and using a mix of primary and secondary. It has repeating spot patterns between the primary and secondary from the fracs to the 1ksNo, at least not until you drew my attention to it. Lol
I asked this question in a poll a while back. What’s the general consensus on preparing the mint HSI’s for the felt? Do most of you guys clean and oil them right out of the box or do you just use them as is and let them break in naturally. Part of me wants to oil them but another part of me likes the sharp, chalky goodness of the chips in their natural state.
I just throw chips on the table....use will break them in. If the chips are new they will now be "used" so If the chips are an investment flip i'd avoid oiling also, just like painting a house, sometimes its best to leave it to the future owner. Just my opinion. To each their own, It is exciting to introduce new sharp edge chips just out of the box. I would not skip that experience by simulating the chips having been used before they were ever used by using baby oil. What’s the general consensus on preparing the mint HSI’s for the felt? Yeah you’re 25s seem considerably more dusty than the ones I received so it makes sense. My 1a’s seem pretty dusty but its hard to tell since they are white.Well,
My poker table cost me thousands.
I'll be damned if chips with this "shit" on them will hit my felt...but that's me...
Proof is in the results..
Cleaned and lightly edge oiled EVERY chip I bought. I found the HSI to be very dirty...

To each their own I say. There is no right or wrong way, IMHO
Yep, I also thought that about $1s and $1a. I got 400 of eachYeah you’re 25s seem considerably more dusty than the ones I received so it makes sense. My 1a’s seem pretty dusty but its hard to tell since they are white.

Use as is. That's how I do it. Oil is for CPCs and chips that just had a bath. What’s the general consensus on preparing the mint HSI’s for the felt? I saw this on mine too. I was horrified. Ended up in the corner of the shower crying and shaking.Side note, found that the 25’s have some of that yellow film that the snappers have. Not sure if you noticed when you oiled but @Ocharacato did.
Hopefully you took the chips in there to rinse off too...I saw this on mine too. I was horrified. Ended up in the corner of the shower crying and shaking.
And just wait until we can get our hands on the Horseshoe Baltimore chips....it’s like the expansion pack for HSI!
And those $1s and snappers are THC....yum.

Wow! That your stack? What game?
Dealers usually are pretty bad. Just NLHE? I assumed it might be a mix.Yeah those were my stacks in the pink chip game (2 different sessions). It was mostly dealers from Live that played in the game and they were awful lol
I mean I’m assuming this is how casinos present the chips when the hit floor unless they put them through some kind of rinsing process beforehand that I am unaware of.Use as is. That's how I do it. Oil is for CPCs and chips that just had a bath.
