Are there pics of the tournament chips anywhere?

And as much as I want some of these, I may just have to gamble on waiting until after the first hour. I keep slicing it up and I just can't justify having to resell the majority of what I buy to get the quantities I'd want of certain chips... Don't begrudge Jim for doing it this way at all, makes perfect sense for dealing with chips in this kind of quantity I'm sure!

No hate either, my only squabble is the Host that needs a 100 Fracs for their game, obviously doesn't need 2000 chips at the other denoms.

But the Collector who likes shelving chips in a box has no problem adding them to storage.

Wish they were packaged into sets, even if at an inflated price.

For me the most likely candidate for a frac relabel in this set is yet another chip with low % the snapper.

Going outside the original frac or the snapper to me the best options for a relabel are the Brown $100 or one of the purple $500's....strangely enough when you query frac colors on the chip guide one of the highest percentage colors is red, followed by white, and then the obvious pink.

I think that red fracs are what those weirdos on the west coast use, with their weirdo yellow fives.
I don't mind a red frac, but yes there would have to be a substitute for the 5's and at least in this sale I don't think there is one.

Brown $5? Worked for Santa Ysabel.
Then you start running into quantity limits on the 100's. It can be done but you're forced to by boat loads of 1's and 5's that you likely won't use. There are some options for sure. Its something to think about for anyone interested in a full relabel or just trying to find a substitute for the fracs in this set.

I always find myself working the numbers on these sales to try to figure out if I want to try to put together a cash set, a tournament set, both? I think it's time I come to terms with not having to buy something from every one of Jim's sales (90% of my chips are from these sales). So many nice chips in this sale!

Last night I decided that I was going to miss this sale and wait to see the tournament chips, but here I am again crunching numbers. Is there a support line? All the chippers I text, group chat, and speak to support and encourage this chip buying behavior (I'm looking at you @Jeevansluck)!!

That said, as many others have posted, I may try to sit the first hour out and then see what is left (HAH, right!).

I'm in that same boat. For me I want to relabel these, so I'm crunching cost of the colors I want, having to bulk buy 1's and 5's that I don't need to eventually sell at a possible loss because that's what everyone is doing, then buying labels. By the time I get done crunching all that I'm at the cost level I'd be at making a fully custom CPC set....not quite viable to me, but still....I look....

these were the T chips. I think they switched to chipcos so not sure if they have both sets.

I don’t want to talk you out of a custom CPC set. But those mint $1s at 89 cents apiece? I’d be willing to bet you could resell those without taking a loss, especially if you don’t mind waiting 6 months.

Here's where I ended up on my calculations for the sale. If anyone wants the spreadsheet, just PM me. Not a fan of the inlays, so long term murder project! :)

I'm sure you have 50 PMs by now, but if you are putting in an order, and are doing this or want more of the $1/5ks, I'd be happy to join you with some fracs, $1s, and snappers.

I keep looking at the mint .89 $1s and can't get past - "Guys, we're playing with the poo smudge set tonight - good?"

Hey @TheChipRoom you say the limit on the $1s is 40% of an order, right? But there are four different kinds of $1s.
Could I buy 400 primary used ones and 400 tertiary new $1’s and then add on 200 of the 20% $100 chips and have a legit order?

Just looking for a clarification on how the percentage limits work

no that wouldn’t work. All your $1’s together can only be 40%

That’s one interpretation. I’m curious to hear the seller’s thoughts
My legal interpretation is that because each limitation is extended to the broader category of chips within a specific denomination, you could not exceed the designated threshold after combing all chips of that denomination within your order (i.e., the threshold is for the denomination, not the chip version).

You guys are cracking me up. We don’t need interpretations, legal or otherwise, when we can hear it from the horse’s mouth.

No, the total amount of the $1 chips cannot exceed 40% of your order. No matter which combination of $1 chips. (i.e. In a 2000 chip order, the maximum number of $1 chips is 800, no matter which combination of $1 chips you choose)

That odd colored secondary 25 would make a nice frac.
