How Have Your Chip Tastes Changed Over Time? (1 Viewer)

Ok, pick up your stones...
Used to love "Real Casino Weight" chips. I got many samples (including ASM Maine) and decided on the slugged chips. Why?
  1. Cheap
  2. Passed 1st test, 20 minute soak in water to see if hand perspiration or spilled drinks would damage the label.
  3. Passed 2nd test, 10 minutes in a kitchen-aid mixer to see if it would stand up to years of abuse (side note, most racket ever heard in my house).
I bought a custom set of the slugs, and all was right in the world.
Then I bought custom ceramics. Much better than the plasticy slugged chips. Now that I knew better, all was right in the world.

Poor quality photos - It's all I have on my work computer
Slugs under the button and left, ceramics to the right.

Then I came across china clays, and got a custom labeled set of them. Far superior, and now I had enough chips to run multi table tournaments. Finally all was right in the world.

Then I saw the light. CPC was back in business. Where once I looked for the cheapest chip, I was now spending up to $3.66 per chip, but all is right in the world....

...for now.
