I mean, right when you walk in our home, this is the first thing you see. And it’s grown to start taking over the office too. Wife was cool with it, but no new ones allowed.

(The sample sets I mean, that’s what you see right when walk in. You don’t see a flag and cardboard cutouts of dead actors and 4 grown men every time you walk in my house)

Interesting exercise. I asked my wife the questions below and typed in her responses word for word. After playing poker of so many years and living with what poker has provided for our family, it kinda shocked me she did not know as much about poker as she did. although, it did not surprise me either - go figure.

The Chipping interest - I did not expect her to know too much. She only really knows that I get poker chips and poker related accessories, and I design chips for myself, friends and a few private card rooms. She does not know how much they cost, how long it takes to design or anything associated with the process. She does comment occasionally about how many chips and sets I do have (with the usual comment - do you really need more poker chips)

Poker has provided so much for her by means of not having to work, having our life style funded and family provided for. The only recent Poker related observation is that since I have retired - I am playing more live poker than ever before. I am out to live poker games 3-4 times a week and host a weekly game at home, and sometimes friends will stop by or meetup for an impromptu heads up or short handed game. If I am at home, my door is always open. Prior to retirement, my time was spent mostly playing online, with scheduled trips to distant card rooms about 8 time a year, so I was usually home and close by if needed. Now I am out of the house more, and when I am at home, it is usually with friends and sometimes a new younger upstart player trying to survive in the game. It would appear this is a semi retirement.

the rake is the thing in the middle. you just rake it in. (while making scooping motions with both her hands pretending to drag chips towards her.) * I'm already dying laughing.*

a thousand... *where did I go wrong???*

a hundred! *yes, finally a right answer.*

Not much is shared or known. But when I'm playing online, I know I've made an extra expressive reaction when I hear a shout from the other room, "IS IT GOOD OR BAD?!"

Wildly impressed. I talk at her a lot, apparently some of it seeps in! My favorite answer was the 500 chips part, that's gold. I have over 2000 sitting in clear plastic cases right behind me when I asked. Around 4000 as of now.

I loved the answers of 1 - 7. Mine was about the same - but it was what I expected. Its great - Funny, yes, surprising, probably not.
