How to display blinds/timer so all in the room can see? (1 Viewer)

I can't find tournament director in the app store. Maybe because I have a Samsung?

I use blinds are up. Is TD that much better?

My blinds are up app shows the toolbar at the top. Am I able to hide that?

Tournament Director is a PC based software, it doesn't (current) run on smart phones.

I don't think you can hide the toolbar. I can't on my OnePlus phone and Samsung tablet, anyways.

Is TD better? It really depends on what you are using it to do. If all you need is a simple timer, then no. If you are looking for additional features (tracking players, seating, calculating payouts, etc), then it may better suit your needs.

I've looked at it, and for my own needs, PokerDIY (PC), Home Poker Tournament Manager (PC/Android), and Blinds Are Up (Android) are perfectly fine, as I don't use the timer to track anything in the tournament. I prefer running something local instead of something on the web (such as BlindValet) as we have had internet service interruptions from time to time.

I'm glad this thread got revived. I would appreciate any updates people have about how they do this.

I'm looking to somehow mirror my iPad display with Poker Timer to multiple screens using Apple TV. As of now, Apple can only mirror to one device at a time. Anyone have a solution other than an HDMI splitter?

Yes there are several. I’ve been using Poker Timer on iOS and it works great and has a lot of features. Haven’t used any others
Thanks I’ll give that a go. I did have a look on the App Store but there’s loads out there so it’s a bit of a minefield which to choose.

If your looking for dual screen or triple screens, you could simultaneously cast through chrome cast? If I’m not mistaken?

EZ cast pro lets you cast from the laptop wirelessly to another monitor or television

Ok so I want to run a tournament with 3 televisions as displays, I have 1 laptop to connect and run either tournament director or Poker Timer, I need to buy either app I have not run a bigger game in a while. Can I stream using 2 google chromecasts on two of the televisions and the computer connected to the 3rd? I have a both a windows laptop and my daughters chromebook. Which app should I just buy and have done with it for best results and will my connection system work? Lastly if I am old and not technical anymore, can I bring a router to set up a local wifi to run this or do I need internet access to make all of this work?

Thank you

In the past I used a couple of very long HDMI cables and a junction box to split everything from the computer, would this still be the easiest? I'd like to remove the trip hazard and need to tape anything down

With Tournament Director you do not need internet. It runs on the laptop locally.

As far as how to do it ........ Ok you are admitting to being kinda old and not so technical....... Have you considered hooking the laptop up to a RF switch and using coax cable to spread the signal around? When I took over a bingo hall with TD that was how I did it. Sometimes old school is the best way.
