How's this for some epic runbad? (1 Viewer)

Agreed 100% - in this specific game, play is anonymous so it can be hard to attribute looser ranges to specific players. It is safest in this scenario to think about GTO ranges unless the pool as a whole deviates significantly. Generally although 5% of players are spewy, 95% are playing at the top of their range so it can be costly to try and pick them off and be wrong ... ask me how I know!

On ACR play is not anonymous and HUDs work, etc so that is a whole different ballgame and again I agree completely.

Seriously someone post a PLO bad beat please!

Ouch - OK so I dont play PLO but can now see that the sheer number of cards can give villains massive numbers of outs!
I think I'll stick with Holdem - variance at PLO must be incredible!

Variance in PLO is so expected that it’s barely mentioned in any epic story.
Probably the “worst” PLO I ever played was in WSOP tournaments. 4 way preflop all-ins in the first levels were the norm.

And this is why split pot games are the immortal nuts.

"I call your $3000 jam knowing that we're probably chopping the $10 of dead money in the middle."
I "love" when I go all-in with nut low, get 2 other callers, and I get 1/6th the pot because everyone else had the nut low too. :wtf:

That was awesome to watch. Helmuth told a story about a bad beat he witnessed...went something like this:

two guys to a flop of 223
one guy has 33 and flopped 3's full
other guy has 44.
They get it in on the flop.
Turn: 2
River: 2

Quads with a 4 kicker takes it down.

anyone ever share goodbeat stories

first hand of the night. All in Pre
me: 88
loser: 77
Flop: A 77
Turn:8
river: 8

gimme gimme gimme
