In all honesty I hope someone was trying to make a huge score from some unsuspecting person out there. I don't actually hope that somebody would pay $5k for them, but at least if someone was knowingly selling the cards at that price it would be what it was....buuuut I would feel horrible if I was poking fun at someone who actually thought they had $5k worth of "gold cards" just sitting there for a rainy day. I feel like I'm such a pussy for even thinking that way, but I have known people in my life that got dealt a 7-2 off suit when it came to the mental capacity department and the older I get the more I realize just how fortunate I was to be born a healthy person in America, we are all lucky to be "average" .

Being a scammer is one thing, being ignorant when given the opportunity of education is another, but I just hope someone didn't sincerely think they had multiple thousands of dollars sitting there just waiting to be cashed in and now their hopes are dashed.

World is full of scammers... I wouldn't assume this was someone who found these in granny's attic and hedged the family's mortgage on these selling...

Oh, figured it was these.. Saw them for sale several times over the years for like $5-6.. My friend actually has a pair of these when I went over for dinner a month or so ago.. they are pretty cool looking in person.. i actually think it was well designed and looks fancy but its just thin and cheap like your regular cards

I would probably buy it for under $10 if i saw a deal for it again if it comes with that box too
