hey everyone. I'm getting married in May and I am looking for the best and most inexpensive way to make custom chips for wedding favors. Figured some of you would have good advice.

Thanks!

The cheapest route is probably to get china clay blanks from www.apachepokerchips.com and labels from www.gearlabels.com. Milano blanks are $.31ea and Majestics are $.35ea. Labels are .20/chip.

You could also go with ceramics, the cheapest route being what @David O mentioned with Old West Poker Supply. It will run you around $77 or so for 100 chips, shipped.

Gear usually has blanks of various different chips. You could probably get the lot from them.

Slugged blanks would be cheaper than CC, and the handling benefits of the clay don't really apply here.

Bluff Canyon relabel project. :) I really like the mold and colors for an el cheapo slugged chip.

You've been given some solid suggestions and I'll just add that this is one of the few times when going the inexpensive route isn't a bad thing. These aren't going to be playable, most wedding favors are a distant memory the next morning, and you probably don't have too many chippers in the audience.

If I really liked the people coming to my wedding and I knew there were chippers/gamblers in the crowd I might consider doing a relabel job on a mix of odds'n'ends Paulsons.

You can find them as blanks under the "12 Stripe" name.

Ah cool. Yeah with the Gear labels, these will be like 35c a piece. Worth it IMO for your desired purpose.

I like these a lot. The purple $500 chip and the $50 chip are very close to our actual wedding colors too! What are these?

They are "Twelve Stripe" chips, which are also sold with "Bluff Canyon" labels by Claysmith Gaming, a consumer brand name marketed by the manufacturer Brybelly.

Like @Mental Nomad said, the twelve stripes/ Bluff Canyon/ Desert Heat chips are also sold by resellers, including PCF vendors (@Apache at least). Brybelly also makes a different spot pattern on the same mold with the same materials, Triangle and Stick, labelled as The Mint and Rock and Roll.

The 12 stripes are a great budget chip BTW. I have a sample set of the Desert Heat and I think they are really nice for the money...for what it's worth.

So what would be the best way to get my hands on day 60 blue and 60 purple? Thanks for all the advice everyone! I'm. It sure how to make my own labels but I'm really good with photoshop just not sure about printing and actually placing a label on them correctly. Haha

I had that done. Had a bunch of chips made, spread them and tiny dice all over the reception tables. Of course it was before I was a chipper so I believe they were ink or hot stamped chips of a dice'ish quality. Maybe that contributed the the marriages demise :D

I found bluff canyon chips in the colors I want. Just wondering how the process of ordering labels and doing that myself. The bluff mountain chips I found would cost me roughy $55 including shipping. I would assume I just need to order labels how ever I decide to design. Would those labels be placed over the bluff labels or would I have to remove them first?

I printed my own labels and used my old dice chips that I had long forgotten about. We used them as free drink tokens. With the cost of weddings these days. I was happy with this 50 dollar solution.

Damn I just gave a huge set of them away! Haha but they look great! My fiancé loves that I found the colors to match the wedding colors and wants to go with them.

Because you aren't going to "use" these chips, slapping labels right over the existing label would likely be fine if there is still some indentation with the current label. However, if the Bluff Mountain label is flush with the chip, you would need to use an exacto knife (or even a pointy-tipped steak knife) to pop out the old label.

I haven't used Bluff Mt. chips, but I imagine the label will pop out easier than this casino label...

That makes sense. Yeah these definitely won't be in play for anything. Just used as a wedding favor
