Instead of a $500 chip 500 singles in a cash bundle? (1 Viewer)

I played in a cash and chips game 2 weeks ago. I didn't mind it, but some players just brought all kinds of loose crap including loose $1s. It was kind of a pain waiting for a couple of players to count through 1s and 5s to make a $40 bet. The host had to keep getting on them to declare their bet, and then put money in.

It would have been much better if the host would have been semi organized and told everybody that the money had to be in specific bundles.

Good luck to you when you travel with your set and inadvertently pack that and get stopped by the TSA. YIKES!

There are a lot of rules for prop money to avoid violating the Counterfeit Detection law.

The rules include:

Your prints must be one-sided.
Your prints must be 25% smaller or 50% larger than real bills.
Your prints must be black-and-white.

If you make them the same size are real bills, with the same colors, you have to have a lot of change so that they aren't mistake for real. Those prop bills say, "For Motion Picture Use Only" instead of "United State of America," are one-sided, probably have a bunch of edits to them... but they are in color and may be actual size.

It's a hazy area. I read about a court case and seizure a few years back - will try to find...

So I went for it and bought a bundle from propmoviemoney. I got the new style 50k blank filler package. Customer service was good and took about two weeks to get to me.

I think it looks great and you know it's paper when you feel it but it does have a slight texture to it.

I'll be using each bundle as $100 for my game. I won't break these out until a player has roughly $120 or so and then I'll colour them up and put the bundle in play.

My next game is next Monday so if the bundle is put into play, I'll take their thoughts and share it here

Those look pretty cool.
I wouldn't use fake money in my game, and I would t use something that says $10,000 on it to represent t $100.
But those are definitely cool props.

Thanks. Yeah I understand it may not be to everyone's taste. My game is spread limit so stacks are never at risk but I thought it'd be a cool prop to have and put into play when someone gets a stack over $100.

You can just buy bands online and replace the $10K ones you have with ones that are more suitable.

Here's some.

Also, since you have the stacks already, I'd consider using a couple of fives as the face on each one. Seems more appropriate for your amounts.

So the prop money got broken out for my game last night. The players got a kick out of it and liked it. Since I've just a cheap roll out mat without a rail for my table, the players liked it for colour ups so they wouldn't knock chips over and onto the floor. It helped with the cashing out at the end of the night as well.

I wish I could find the video for it. But I remember Gabe Kaplan did that as a gag the first time he actually sat at High Stakes Poker (instead of announcing.)

We have tourney stacks that are fake training money with 5k bands. It's pretty fun to toss out a stack with chips during big bets in hands. They have been used near 7 years now...
