Edit: looks like the bud jones are listed as secondary so there are likely different primary roulettes. :nailbite:

GPI doesn’t want them posted for whatever reason. It created a mini controversy with the Horseshoe chips and whole threads were deleted out of fear the sale could be canceled to The ChipRoom. So I would bet it is the Chip Room that got them again.

Generally/historically, actual GPI production proofs have not been shared publicly (and have often been quickly pulled in the past if posted, even if by the actual aftermarket buyer).

I've been told it was due to the proprietary nature of some of the information contained therein, particularly data concerning security features.
 
I am quite unfamiliar with American upside-down politics, so my genuine question is "would a plot to take power away from GPI be considered as communist or rather patriotic"? :D

So we have gpi spies that check our forum yet they don't care about us or our money (home market). Gpi confuses me.

Made an offer on them with another PCFer, but missed by just a couple $k. Not sure how much I really wanted to spend my entire summer on that big of a venture after the LCOs.

My money is on The Chip Exchange getting them. I doubt The Chip Room would have bid high enough in the silent auction to get them. He's never paid anywhere near those prices before according to what I've read. And The Chip Exchange is the vendor most likely to overestimate their value IMO, and thus most likely to bid the highest. He'll probably offer the $1k chips for $20+ ea and mint RHC chips for around $3 ea for the $5s and $7 ea for the $500s and they'll sit around in his garage for years and years to come. It'll be great. You'll still be able to buy a complete set in 2030!

Not a fan of the attitude here towards a vendor on the forum. @The Chip Exchange and other vendors here are not the problem. It’s members who were overcome with greed that ruined these sales for everyone.

For a vendor to stick out their neck and make a large investment, taking all the risk, it’s gotta be frustrating to see all the valuable chips go to flippers.

I always felt like @TheChipRoom genuinely wanted to get chips into our hands, while making a few bucks in the process. At this point it can only be treated as a pure business.
 
Treat it like is business or treat it like selling chips to friends.

Damned if you do, damned if you don't.

Someone is gonna make a buck on the sale of these chips. It should be the person who stuck their neck (and wallet) out and took the risk.

Publishing numbers (and blind auction winning bid) in advance can't be good for the seller.

Hope you’ve been taking notes, there’s a lot of details being removed left and right in this thread. Not sure if the vendor is afraid of GPI or just trying to build some hype and excitement with a subtle viral marketing campaign and shadowy details...:sneaky:

The Chip Room sales model of offering an initial sale with limited stock at lower prices is a great way to move more chips at a higher price later. Classic drug dealer mentality lol ;)

Once people were able to get some of the oversized $1k and $5k Horseshoe chips in the presale they were willing to spend much more later on to complete their sets.

But the Chip Echange selling the chips he had for the much higher price right from the start means nobody has anything invested in them yet. Nothing they started already at a lower price point to justify spending more later on.

While most people may feel that is what they may be worth, they aren’t going to spend that much per chip.

If he wants to sell them he will either take a very long time to do so locking up a lot of money or will lower prices to were people will buy them fast. Or follow The Chip Room and offer a sale on some of them in limited qualities so that more people have them and want more.

The same thing will happen with these chips too.
 
Always a lot of suggestions as to how people should sell chips on this forum. :rolleyes:

It's an open market, instead of trying to tell people how to sell their stuff you should just speak with your wallet and not buy the if you think the price is too high. Bullying vendors on the forum to try and make them sell you stuff cheap is a bad look and DB behavior IMO.
 
Alright. I have never gotten involved in this sort of thing before, but I think I'm going to get out of line here for a moment:

... I don't get it... There sure seems to be a 180° turn, for the worse, in this thread. Idk if I'm missing something but wow! Everyone was totally Gung ho just two days ago... Now we're up in arms about a "theoretical" price point? We have no idea what they will really be offered for...
And please correct me if I'm wrong, but IMO, $.69/chip for actual "casino Paulson chips" (HS Cinci) sure seemed like a great price to me.. I was certainly thrilled to purchase them at that price!

Currently we are just speculating on price… And the mud has already started being thrown. If I recall correctly it was this exact sort of thing that put @TheChipRoom in the position to say "forget PCF, I'll just go to eBay from here on out." (In not so many words)
Do we really want to risk that sort of thing with goofy speculative mudslinging?
