$124 for a sample set. IF thats any indication of chip prices, I'm out

The majority of the price comes from the $1k, $5k, and $25k chips. The $25k chips will sell for about $25 each.

if you are looking for the used primary cash chips $1-$100 they will be very affordable.

Well i'm sure most of that price is tied up in the 43mm chips, notably the 25k. Seems like a previous post quoted Jim at only 100 of thoses in existence, and only available in sample sets. Probably half the cost of the sample set tied up in the two 25k chips or close to it. My 2c.

This. And only 100 being in existence makes sense, I mean, it's Cincinnati....

Forgive me for not being very experienced in the regards of chip knowledge but why does the fact thats its from cinci make it any better than others?

I believe the post is insinuating that Cincinnati is not a bastion for high-rollers, so the supply of the high denomination chips is low, thus putting them in higher demand to degenerate chippers such as ourselves.

Small market casino. Not a ton of whales coming to cinci to play 25k a hand.

pretty much this. Small market casinos dont really need 25k chips, but much like when people suggest building a set for .25/.50, you dont need 100's. Buuuut who knows, maybe one night things will get nuts you want the set to handle it.

Thanks for the info guys. Haha if that happens ill allow cash on the table inplace of chips  :ROFLMAO:

I don't understand the demand for the higher end chips driving up the price on this site. With there being so few I would think demand here would be less. I mean you don't see a lot of people putting together playable sets from the Sands do you? Hell no you don't. The reason is because playable quantities are damn near impossible to assemble. Chips like that only have value to singles collectors. With only 100 of the $25K there is no chance anyone is going to get a playable quantity (unless you are willing to pay $75+ for a single common chip) so demand should be decreased.

However, this is also why people here pay MUCH more than single collectors would for common chips... because they can be used in sets.

I think what is going on here is all of this excitement any hype is FOMO more than anything. The end result being set collectors are turning into singles collectors that specialize in oversized chips (which is kind of awesome).

here is the flaw in your logic.

yes, this site is generally more geared towards playable sets, but there is tons of overlap with sample set and single collectors, so supply and demand still applies.

I always try to have at least 2x100s or an extra 8x 25s for at least 6 out of every 10 players for reloads. Not sure ive ever used them more than once or twice but an extra half barrel of 100s makes sure we keep ALL the money on the table until EVERYONE cashes out.

I realize the $25s are not overly sexy/flashy, but I am really drawn to them and the more subtle inserts.

Is there a difference in classification/name for big vs. small tri-moons?

I think those $25s are one of the best chips in this sale (IHC aside).

What I'm curious about is if the grey spot is metallic. Metallic gold, silver and yellow is a very nice combo.
