JACK Entertainment Completes Sale of JACK Cincinnati Casino (1 Viewer)

I'm guessing Ohio gaming laws require on-site secondaries for all denoms above $5 in case of a security breach.

:nailbite:

(A) Unless otherwise authorized by the executive director, each casino operator shall have a primary set of value chips, a separate secondary set of value chips, a primary set of non-value chips, and a non-value chip reserve, which shall conform to the color and design specifications set forth in this chapter. An approved secondary set of value chips and reserve non-value chips shall be placed into active play when the primary set of value chips or non-value chips is removed.

(B) The secondary set of value chips shall have different secondary colors than the primary set for all denominations of twenty-five dollars and higher.

Anyone know what is going on with this Casino sale? Will it mean more chips for sale in the market eventually?

QUOTE:
The casino will continue to operate under its current branding until spring 2020, when it will become Hard Rock Casino Cincinnati. The casino sits on 22 acres in Pendleton. It has more than 100,000 square feet of gaming space with about 1,800 gaming machines and 100 table games.

Guessing the current “closure” will impact that time line just not sure if it will speed it up or delay it. But it’s also not like they close and two days later they are for sale, IF they even come to market.

Now would be the perfect time to switch it over. But I think they have to announce a final date to cash in any outstanding chips before they switch over. Maybe they can re-brand and still give a date in the future to cash in any chips.

And I really Hope Hard Rock gets some nice Paulsons so I can go harvest some opening week.

I did not read the article but does this mean that every Jack branded Casino, if there are any left, are all be sold to the Hard Rock group?

like the $1 and $2.50...I'm fairly new to chipping, but when these chips first come available, are they cheaper or more inflated than they will be in the future?

There was only 3 (technically the Greektown never officially rebranded and that’s where the Jack Detroit came from). The Jack Cleveland is staying and wasn’t part of the sale. The Cincinnati was the other one that was sold and will be rebranded in Spring.

Thanks for letting me know. I for one really like the $2.00 chip. I think there is a lot of opportunity for a really nice set. Looking forward to seeing more.
Take care.

The $2 chips are gorgeous, especially if you can get them in minty condition.

Any word on these getting released into the wild? Above it mentioned that it was going to operate as Jack Cincy until Spring 2020, though I suspect it would have closed sooner due to COVID.

The casino closed for Covid and should have been a great time to rebrand the floor. Unfortunately, that did not happen. Casino got permission to open back up in June, but it re-opened as the same Jack Casino.

Poker room is still closed, but they did submit their protocols to the governor 2 weeks ago, and are waiting approval to re-open the room. They are slowly re-branding, as some of the restaurants have changed over and the dice have changed, as well as some entrances.

Still waiting on all the table felts and chips to be re-branded. Have not heard when that will be.

I have been told the Jack chips have been switched over to the Hard Rock Chips this week. We have until February to cash in the old Jack chips before they are no longer valid. I would assume then sometime next year, the old chips will be released into the wild.

I have not seen a picture of the new chips yet so not sure what kind they are. Maybe I can get over there this weekend and get a couple racks if they are nice.

Sigh. I've put in a lot of hours at old table 31.
I was gonna harvest a rack of ones, but they are so ugly, I was afraid no one would buy them. Yeah...the inlay is horrible. Also, for some reason there were like 40-50 people in line at the cage.

He got Cleveland the first time, but not Cincinnati. Will be interesting to see who if anybody gets what.
My understanding was that he was instrumental in getting the Cincy chips, too.

Makes sense. He’s got the connections and lawyer hours invested in all these states, and others can’t simply show up and say Gimme Chipz!

Anyone know if there are any minty $1 racks likely to have survived these years in the casino?

The $2 chips are beautiful in person. I have a couple racks of these in minty condition that I can’t imagine letting go.
