Here we go. It’s time to make the decision. Which cash game lineup would you prefer to have? Jacks or Indiana Grand.

Please share your reasoning below because I think it will make for great conversation. It’s not a requirement, but it will be much appreciated.

GO!

Jack Detroit as the Casino (Greek Town) is local to me. I also prefer the GO chips in the lineup, so I know I am a bit of an outlier.

Anyone with live action pics of either set please post.

I’ve owned both and it’s not even close for me. Jack $5 and $100 are great, but the $1s and $25s are mediocre. I absolutely love the entire Indiana Grand secondary lineup and the primary $5s.

I'm with David on this!

What about color transfer and discolorations and florescent powder; I think JACK Detroit doesn't have as many issues?

For me, it's a tough call. I think both lineups are fantastic, but I'll give the edge to JACK for 2 reasons.

1) Original fracs
2) Minty chips across the entire lineup

I think if the primary IG lineup was all mint, I'd have pick the IGs though. As hornet said, each of those chips is just great, and the $5s are the GOAT RHC chip imo.

As cool as the regular fivers are, I agree with you, I prefer the grand opening lineup, with the all -black inlays they look sharp.

That being said though, I give the overall nod to Indiana Grands. Each chip in the the lineup (primary and secondary) has incredibly well cooridanated colors, better spots and it just feels like it flows together. The inlays leave a little to be desired (especially the small denoms) but they're simple enough not to distract from the incredible clay. IMHO its probably the best TCR offering of the PCF time-frame.

I haven't decided for sure yet, but I'm leaning pretty hard toward IG. I like both, and plan to keep (and play) both.

No action shots of the IG yet, of course, but here's a stack shot of my JACKs:

Indiana grand because I like the brighter colors better.
Also JACK is a dumb name for a casino.
And finally, as hideous as I originally thought the Grand inlays were, at least they’re interesting. The JACK inlays are not.

Look, the honest answer is I’d want to own both, because they’re the two best $5’s I’ve seen out there. But JD was before my time and is by comparison unattainable now (for me)… so maybe that’s why I want those more.

Your two pictures are not exposed the same though. Put them both on the window sill in the same picture for a better comparison!
So normally I would be able to simply take a new pic with both sets however my IG set seems to have encountered mysterious circumstances prior to returning to my mailbox after a short field trip...

There were no witnesses.

It’s all good. Shit happens. We’re cool. The 1k is being held together by the inlay but for comparing colors and spots I can still do a side by side lol. At brunch with kids now.
You're a chill dude. Not sure what my reaction would've been. :ROFLMAO:
I chose my words carefully and settled on "person" in my initial question but other words came to mind. ;)

Both sets are great but I am on the JACK Detroit camp:

- Mint (and gorgeous) 25¢!!
- All chips mint.
- $1s are a push but given how busy the JD $5 is, that $1chip fits perfectly imo.
- JD $5 chip is one of the pretties RHC $5s ever. IG is not far behind though.
- Watermelon (although I have the other version in my set).
- Hundos are not great on either set to me. Slight advantage IG here.
- Love the 8V $500s. The base on the JD gives more contrast to the hundo than on the IG
- Oversized are kind of a push but I still like JD a bit better.
- And finally: Michigan FTW!

I'd agree with most of your points here. I like the IG $5s more than the Jack $5 though. Both great.
