Hello everyone! Been a member a few months now, have spent most of my time lurking. Wanting to start the long process of designing my own set. My main question is about color/spot patterns. Lets say I want to get in a group buy using my own design. Do i just go on the Poker Chip Design Tool, work up what i like, and send those designs along with my label artwork and thats basically it? Any help would be appreciated!

So typically in a group buy there are multiple ppl that want a particular design, and while I like you, I’m not in like with your design, trust me I’m too weird for you to like mine.

If you have the chip design with the edge spots artwork in vector, then you may find a group buy which allows for custom chips orders. As mentioned, check with the company that you will be dealing with based on the type of chip material wanted.
I did a custom chip last year with a chip design and denomination that I wanted to match my other chips.

Thanks for the feedback so far. I dont want to break the bank, so I would say getting some customized Tinas in a group buy would be where I start. I think I will work on playing around with some chip designs and work on my label. From what I have gathered, its a marathon, not a sprint.

Welcome !
Take your time before ordering something, look and compare here the different types of chips available, read the posts and comments to get a good idea of what you want and how to get a good custom set that fits your needs and budget.
Enjoy !

So. To answer your question you originally asked, your best bet is to submit adobe illustrator files with your design for Tina chips through @justincarothers. So either you work with one of the very talented designers on this site, or work in illustrator yourself that’s where you gotta get to before ordering.

The one denom that I got customized were Tina 50 cent no mold chips to match my other no mold chips that I purchased from Justin. He didn't make $0.50 chips and I wanted some for my set. @Colquhoun did the chip design for me. He is the super designer for Justin's Tina chips.
