Key West announces two-week shutdown for business restructuring​

Sales of Key West Resort & Casino Chips will be on hold for two weeks, starting today, Dec. 28, 2020, while we take care of the back-office details of our upcoming restructuring of the business.

Please be assured the change will not impact how business is done. There are no new "partners," or other concerns. The change is being done to move to a business structure that's the best fit for an online retailer of poker chips. It will make the tax paperwork and other paperwork much easier.

While nothing will change here, the name of the business that (legally) sells Key West chips and all of our other casino items will be changing slightly to become Continental Games. With the name change comes lots of tiny details we need to finish in the background while we prepare for a better 2021.

I'll be checking in here daily, as always, to answer any questions you may have. Please feel free to post in the Key West Discussion Thread, or to PM me any time. Look for us to restart sales on or about January 8, 2021.

Sales of Key West chips may be paused for a bit longer than expected.

As expected, we obtained proper business licenses Jan. 4, 2021 as Continental Games, LLC, but our state is dragging its feet getting us a key piece of paperwork we need to set up the bank account and link to PayPal. It normally takes 48 hours, but the business service folks say it could take "two to three weeks."

That would bring us to the end of January, 2021. Not good news.

If things happen faster, I will announce here.
