Knowing when to walk away from a casino cash game (1 Viewer)

1. I have found that it’s best to start the game feeling tilty, that way you can’t feel worse when you run bad.

2. No amount of time is too long at the table. Just remember your worst day at the poker table is better than your best day at work.

3. If you look around the table and can’t spot the fish, don’t worry it’s probably not you. He/she just has not sat down yet.

4. It is impossible for you to play bad, it’s ALWAYS the dealer’s fault. So just wait for a dealer change and you’re back in business!

Just remember, you went to the casino to enjoy a game you like. I know the whole money aspect but if you don't enjoy poker you wouldn't play at all. So that means when you start losing that whole fun part of it (we have all been there .... when you start thinking of other things, like picking up a pizza, or if these chips are worth harvesting), time to go.
I realized this was a big issue for me when i first started chipping. I would go to the poker room and all i was thinking about is how to harvest chips and wasn't i focusing on my hands. I stopped myself a bit too late, and lost 3 big hands in a row.

When i got home i then realized i have to keep chipping/harvesting separate from poker days.

Never? Like never, ever??
Out of context, bro. Up to that point (long ago), I had only played live limit Hold'em cash games.... and had never had a losing session.

I've had losing cash game sessions since (the first being that five buy-in NLHE game), but to this day, I've never had a losing session playing fixed limit poker.

I bring 2-4 buy-ins for the evening, and if I burn through those then I call it quits. I don't gamble with what I can't afford to lose.
So far this year my cash play is really down. But when I look at it from an entertainment perspective, it's really fine, not outrageous at all. Besides, there's 6 months left this year....
