Tale of the tape

UTG +1 has about $80. Plays loose passive pre flop. Will turn aggressive post flop with top pair good kicker or better. Opens pre to $3+ with hands like 99 or better and AJ+ limps everything else.

MP has $60 Doesn't isolate. Will open a widish range. Open limps suited trash and smaller pocket pairs. Limps behind a lot. Post flop plays medium aggressive. Takes stabs in pots that have been played passively. Seems to think he is getting bluffed to often and while not a calling station has been known to call off the bottom of his range in spots that would seem to be an easy fold.

Has about $70 BB Ultimate calling station with aggressive tendencies. Will call with any connection to the board if it is heads up or three way. Not afraid to wager all of his chips if he thinks he can get you to fold. Will also cbet or donk bet $10 into a $2 pot with hands like 99 on 7 high flops.

Hero is playing $50 and is in for $80 CO with :ks::qs:
Fold, UTG + 1 limps, MP calls, Hero makes it $2.50

BTN & SB folds BB calls, UTG +1 folds, MP calls

Bet size won't fold any limpers but is enough to get SB and BTN to fold. $2 would see SB come along with a wide range and $3 is not likely to get called by anyone with a hand.

Pot $8.75 3 handed

Flop :ad::6h::qh:

Everyone checks action on hero. Check or Bet, if betting what size? Also welcome any feed back on pre flop.

Let's try a one time stab for $5 as a bet/fold. If called, hero should proceed carefully and favor giving a free card to the flush draw rather than value bet himself vs Ace-rag

Six bucks to go on the flop, but the goal is really just to take down the pot. Prepare to go into pot-control mode if called.

I prefer the check and delayed c bet on the turn if checked to again.

Check behind. MP could have a weaker queen, but there are a lot more reasonable hands he could have that have us beat, especially flushes (since he plays suited junk). Hope to get a cheap showdown. Plan to fold to any reasonable bet on the river.

Hero checks

River is :8c:

Pot $18.75

Board :ad::qh::6h::2h::8c:

Villain bets $11

Worth noting villain is not fully aware of pot size but has a general idea. I would classify this bet as on the large side for villain in this spot

Heros action?

What could Villain realistically have that is beaten by second pair top kicker? Doesn't seem like much. The flush draw came in, so to be bluffing, he'd have to have a Broadway gutshot or maybe a pocket pair JJ or lower.

Unless this Villain has a history of making OOP steal bets on the end, this looks like a fold.

No good draws on the flop apart from hearts that hit the turn. So he probably has a made hand. Turning a pair of sixes into a bluff here seems unlikely.
Fold.

I think if villain has a pair of 6s he would probably check.

Hero goes into the tank for a while and calls. Villain turns over a Q and mucks when hero shows his hand.

Villain has got a tendency to try and take away pots in these situations and probably doesn't think that much about what hands he can get value from.

Removing results from the equation does anyone think the river call is particularly bad given the read on villain?

Call. Based on villain description, it's right up his alley to bluff at pots that have been passively played. I can see quite a few holdings that villain would bet here -- some thinking it was good, other times as the only way to win the pot (busted draw, etc).

EDIT - just saw posted results. Probably a fold against some villains, but not this one (and not against most in my group, either). Many take the "I can't win by checking" approach and will fire a river shot at any pot that's not been contested so far.
