I run a weekly NLHE tournament league. We play 8 game seasons and, at the end of each season an 8 player season championship (based on points). Tomorrow is the Season 3 Championship game.

I'm wound up because I've got some new chips to felt for this game and had an idea for arranging the starting chip stacks which vary in amount based on qualifying place (highest point getter gets the largest starting stack, etc.).

I'm the Defending Champ and am feeling motivated to repeat!

I'm having a blast working on the league branding - an official logo is in process!

Hi All,

We have now concluded seven seasons. Tonight is the Season 7 Championship game for the high 9 point getters.

I now have two chip sets for the championship games (not custom, but, in my view, pretty, and one set, shown in the pics below, has sentimental value for the league) and let the Defending Champ (or, if s/he didn't qualify, the highest scorer) choose which set we use.

I've setup the championship table. My goal with the setup is to really differentiate the championship from the regular season games - as the league grows to more players per game on average it will get more and more challenging to qualify.

Here are a few pics showing a subtle nod to the holiday season...

Would love to see what others do with table setup to set a championship game apart! I try to do something different with the setup each time and am always looking for ideas.

Happy Holidays!
