I think @RivieraDanny has asked that if a member of this forum was the caller; to step forward and explain their action. To me that is a fair request; someone took an action and they should stand behind their motive. Odds are that its not a member and we will never know the reason why, just a name when\if it becomes public records.
The auction house that ran the sale, knew the law and didn't back down to a government agency and won. Hurray for the little guy!!!
The only reason for that phone call that I could speculate here is: that a auction house from Michigan sent a representative out to negotiate terms. The representative told the owners, you cant sell those and lost the contract to an auction house that said you can get money for that. Now the representative getting heat from the boss for loosing the auction contract, tried t o sabotage the winning auction house to prove he\she was right.
I know its a stretch, but what other possible reason could there be. I know we just want to hear facts, but I doubt we will ever know the reason.

Thanks. I agree. That too is a possible motive. Whatever the motive it is profit or greed driven. And a small chance that it was a if I can’t have them no one can deal or someone who just does this pita stuff for sport. But you are correct it was an ask for explanation which no one owes us but I’m not the only curious one! My wife says who cares and why expose them. Well honey I do cause everyone wants to know who they’re dealing with.

I'm curious, if a member of this forum did engage in an act to sabotage the availability of desirable items to this forum, what would they gain out of it? Besides enmity? Even they could benefit from having access to said items, even if it wasn't for the "good deal" they were hoping for.

I agree. The name hasn’t been released as of yet. But it will be. Public records request. I’d hate to think it was a pcf’er or worse yet a vendor.
