There went my Astros/Under. I’m still not sure why grienke/Cole don’t pitch such a crucial game. Verlander has consistently given up runs in the post season.
Bad analogy. Charging/blocking in basketball needs a call to be made. This was a play that the ump needs to shut the hell up. If it was obvious and obstructive, make the call. It was neither. Ump bailed out a poor throw.

I couldn’t watch the game last night, so I finally got around to highlights. That was a terrible call, regardless of the significance of the game.
No, it really IS a bad idea. Just wait for some $20 million slugger to get injured stepping wrong on the orange bag. Then the outrage will be all about the unnecessary orange bag.

That or more frequent reviews to see if the 1st baseman stepped slightly on the orange or if the runner stepped slightly on the white. Just look.at the NFL and reviews of runners on the sidelines to see if they stayed in-bounds.

All in all it was a great series, highly entertaining just a bad outcome. Stro's just missed on too many chances and left a ton of guys on base throughout the series. Never rooting for the NL but have to give the Nats credit for the win.
