First off, kudos to @The Chip Exchange for a great sale today. I haven't been a part of many of these yet, but it seemed to go pretty smoothly.

So it sounds like people are starting to receive shipping notices. I haven't yet -- fingers crossed -- but it sounds like everything is moving pretty quick anyway.

We can use this thread to discuss breakdowns, post shipping updates, and discuss trades without filling up the thread in the vendor forum.

I opted for:

100 x $2.50
100 x $2
120 x $1
60 x $5
20 x $25

My plan is to relabel the snappers and $2 chips into nickels and quarters for my small stakes cash games. I'll likely add a few more fracs as I can track them down in the future, but held back on today's purchase to (1) keep the costs down and (2) give me some fun purchases to make in the next few weeks as I complete my set.

So now I'll be anxiously awaiting the chips, but it doesn't sound like I'll need to wait too long.

What breakdowns did everyone go for? And whose going to be the first one to have the chips in hand?

I went with building a tourney set
120 of the mint 5"s
160 25's secondary
100 100's secondary
60 500's secondary

at the moment I think the barrel of 5's aren't needed and possibly 40-60 of the 25's arent needed.

I combined 4 sets. No shipping notice yet.

I'm new at this but I thought some of the chips would be sold out by now. I personally like these chips over the Cleveland chips. the 5's 25's and 100's anyway.

In the end I went for the small sample set. I almost pulled the trigger on a heads up set but a) I remembered that I basically built one from CLE secondaries and b) a few unexpected year-end expenses have come up so I'm preserving cash as best I can at the moment.

Got a shipping notice for one of my sets hoping they were combined.

Nice! And correct -- you can sell off 20 x $5 and 60 x $25, and keep a nifty 360-chip single-table T4000 tourney set (10/10/7/6 stacks, up to 400BB depending on the blind structure), with 30 extra T100s to color-up the T5/T25 chips. You could pick up a few T1000 chips to color-up some of the T100s, but it's certainly not necessary - tourney would be over before they aren't needed.

And I agree -- those denominations (5, 25, 100) are the cream of all four Ohio Horseshoe 39mm set chips.

My wife told me that the secondary $5k was her favorite, so I ended up with a full sample set so we would have one for our collection...

...ok and I also may have caved and bought a 400 chip cash set.

Also some more praise for @The Chip Exchange for bringing these chips to us, and for absolutely outstanding customer service.

Bought a 39mm sample set. Worn rhc chips don't have much appeal to me, and if I'm spending an average of $3+/chip on mint chips my next purchase will probably be a custom set. They're pretty chips, but not enough to justify the expenditure for me.

I got 3 of the heads up secondary 25/100/500 sets. I'm probably only going to need the 100s though. If so, I'll have 120 of the secondary $25s, and 60 of the secondary $500s available for trade/sale.

I bought a set for cash games. Figured since I have CLE, I needed CIN too.

300 x $25 (I use these as quarters since we never need a $25 in our games)
200 x $1
100 x $5

I really wanted the 100 piece high stakes secondary set, but $349 for 100 chips would get me divorced I think since this is my 3rd set in like 2 months.

Thanks to @The Chip Exchange for an easy ordering process and fast processing. This was my first sale to participate in.

I will have 60 Secondary $25's and 20 new $5's I think $150 shipped is close to what I paid for them.

All orders are now boxed up and ready to go to the post office tomorrow morning!!! :)

If there are any issues or something is missing in your order please let me know and I will do my best to make it right.

Thank you Again!!!
Todd

I need to buy more chips! Not completing the racks is quite strange.

PSA: Be careful with your TSP(if using) amount, and temperature of the water that you use. If you are not careful, your $1s will end up like the chip on the left.

Remember to follow the steps in the original post about cleaning Paulsons to prevent this from happening. i have used it to clean everyone of my chips and have never had this happen. Lucky it was only one chip.

Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuudge...those $100s look amaze-balls. And the $1s look great, I am just not going to clean them.

Respectfully, I think you have to clean the ones. The white on the faux inlay really stands out against the dirty white clay.

Well I was excited about receiving these on Thursday...

Now I'm coming to the realization that I'll have more chips to clean by hand.

Ahh what the heck I'm still excited.

Definitely clean the $1s as recommended above.

I'm looking to build a big bet set. If you have any mint, $1s or $5s to spare, shoot me a PM.

UNC $1 were not made available in the sale, but I know a lot of good condition chips went out during the initial farming.
