While it had no immediate bearing on the play, the lines exist to facilitate precision. Offsides is offsides the same way a goal is a goal, by crossing the line.

Looks like Rinne is going to see his first action since getting placed on the IR a week and a half ago. Our top line has 20 goals combined, but the rest of the forwards have 15 with an additional 7 from the D. Stop our top line and you guys should be golden.

Well, we shut down the Avalanche top line in Colorado, so we might be OK. Our 2nd line scores more than our top line. Maybe Rinne will be a little rusty.

I'm glad he could come back from his injury and keep up where he was before!

Vasy is a good keeper but has a career GAA over 3 against Nashville. I'm kinda shocked Domingue didn't get the start, he seems to do well against us. (3-0-1 , 1.68 GAA , .949 SV%)

Either way, I can't wait to be down there in February! Now it's your turn to pick the stakes for the rematch in just over two weeks!

Buffalo and "Playoffs" aren't words usually used together, but the Sabres have an unusually talented first line.

It's not enough to take them deep into the playoffs, and any injury could cause them to miss altogether (thus restoring balance to the universe), but right now Buffalo is playing playoff-level hockey.

I’m aware what’s crazy is that three teams from Atlantic are 1-3. Two weeks ago Buffalo was third in their division with only one point separating them Boston and Montreal (or something like that).
