Lightning Strikes (5 Viewers)

You're never in trouble until you lose at home. Long way to go yet. Point coming back may help, but his bread and butter is his speed through the middle and in transition. They miss him in that bumper spot on the power play too. Thing is, coming off of a lower body injury, how effective would he be with those first two things?

I needed a shot (or five) after the last four minutes of the game last night. Stamkos, Kucherov, Palat, and Hedman are still enough to give me agita.

I hope so, but they have not looked good yet. I would prefer Point does not play unless he is at least 90% healthy. He is unlikely to help at less than that and opens himself up to longer term injury. Pretty much all in for game 3.

Pretty much need to be. Putting him in for Game 4 unless he can skate if Tampa loses tomorrow would be really, really dumb. If Tampa makes this a series and this goes to a Game 6 or Game 7, I have a suspicion he'll play those games no matter what.

Now if I could just stay up for the rest of their games, Tampa would be a lock! ;)

Fair play @k9dr . Tampa gave it everything they had and got the deserved (IMO) result. I hate my own fanbase so much sometimes. Already planning and scouting out Colorado after Game 2. Said it the other night and will say it again, you're never in trouble until you lose at home. This Tampa team is just too battle tested to lay down and not make this a series.

Lightning win game four 4-1, evening the series at 2-2 :ninja: back to NY for a pivotal game 5

The Ranger's offense (well... lack thereof) is also helping. Combined with Tampa's stifling defense (especially these last three games), Vasy doesn't have to do much. The Rangers just haven't looked good since game 2.

(and this coming from someone who bleeds Broadway Blue)

The Rangers look deflated tonight.

GG Bolts. Best of luck in the finals. I expect that to be a full-on cage match and must see TV.

[EDIT to add] - I said in the betting thread last month that this "is not the Rangers' year". I honestly didn't expect them to make it past the second round. This has been bonus hockey for me as a fan, but never expected this particular run. I'm cautiously optimistic for the next couple years.

They'll be back.

Still can't help but to feel this Rangers team needs to beat Tampa to get over that psychological hump. They got in their heads after game 3.
