Clay chips have a very wide range of conditions, values, colors, etc. You can link the other posts and replies if you'd like.

These are cool but old. The H-molds, non Paulsons, have a shallow odd stamp that many won't be interested in. The Paulson "starbursts" can be popular but there's lots of variability in color from the edges which isn't desirable. Not sure what posts you're referring to. If you bought or found these great, cool chips, but they're not a gold mine.

Also, just for reference, they were my dad’s. I’ve kept them since he passed in 2003. Been saving for my son, which seems like an even better idea now.

The pink starburst might get you $1.50/chip. The browns probably $1/chip maybe. The Hmolds maybe 50c/chip??

He's responding to the posts that say these go for $3-$4 a piece. We been seeing a lot of this. People see jacked up eBay listings for sets of Starbursts and think JACKPOT!

Hey man! Sorry but these ol color blind eyes don't know the colors of the paulsons. Could you help me out?

And earlier you said awfully low. You can search the classifieds sold and auction for the prices on the sets that have sold. The only starbursts that I have seen go super high were some crispy azz white ones. cripsy. white. I think they auctioned around $275 for the rack.

The chips you have are of good provenance, but as others have said they are not of particularly high worth. But they are certainly worth something.

The Paulsons are generic Starbursts, good because they are leaded on the THC mold. They might be worth a little more depending on their colour (Peach? Mauve?), which is a bit rarer than the "standard" white, red, green, and black. But the chips themselves are not rare, and they were sold to the general public from Paulson's brick and mortar stores when they existed. If they are in EX+ condition, then they could go for $1.25-1.50 or more per chip. You will probably get a decent price if you auctioned them on PCF rather then trying to list them on FB Marketplace or Craigslist.

The "other" chips you have are H-mold, which could have been made by ASM or another company. The original mold cups still exist and CPC still makes use of it in their custom offerings to customers today. Sadly, even vintage ASM chips though nice to look at and play with have very little value, and 0.25-0.40 is the typical range for them.

It seems they are of more sentimental worth to you than market value, so perhaps it would be best to keep it within the family as an heirloom from your dad. Since it won't necessarily cost a lot to add to it, you could look for some more Starbursts or H-mold chips of different colours so that it can be a playable set - they just won't have denominations on them.

Man….. I interact with a guy in another forum…. And he types all his stuff like this…. Because he talks like that maybe…. But it is irritating… and I try not to email him much..

IM RIGHT HERE KEVIN.

I’m a fan of H-molds. The difficulty with these particular monogrammed chips is that they would really only work (as-is) as a Limit set.

Fewer of us play limit than other poker variants, so that shrinks the audience out of the gate.

To make these playable for other types of games, you’d need to find other matching chips in similar condition. The chances of finding more H-molds with that monogram is essentially nil.

So someone would have to find other H-molds in complementary colors, then mill everything if they wanted a full matching set. This drives the end cost up, meaning people will pay less for the chips.

That said, if you put them up on eBay for 50¢/each BIN, you might get a bite. Or get lucky and stumble into two people who for some reason really want these and bid them up. But it’s doubtful.
