So here is the lineup…pseudo Cali Set…now I need design ideas and labels

$0.50 frac - HSI primary 5s
$1 - Sycuan
$5 - Garden City (small inlay)
$20 - Magestic Star 500s
$100 - MacArthur $1s

As for design ideas… whew! That’s always the big question. Because they’re labels (over labeled or milled?), you have the power to change your mind later.

I recommend one of two paths to start: either something personal to you or create a new name that doesn’t.

Coming up with something personal would be akin to a “Binion’s” or “Diamond Jim’s” or “South Lake Casino” or “Desert Spa”- using your name or town/city/location/feature to name it.

The other path is to create a name that works anywhere, something like a “Thunderbird” or “Circus Circus” or “Landmark” or “Mint Club.”

I always love perusing the Chip Guide, California Cardroom guide, or the Chip DB here and take note of the names and designs you like.

Try a bunch of ideas and iterate on the name, toss out the bad, think about what you like and don’t like - and why.

I guess the frac could be .25 as well…my regulars and I typically play .50/1 with multiple straddles (depending on the time of night and number of drinks).

But I am open to all suggestions

Interesting…this would require more $2s than a traditional $1/$5 breakdown right?

I think you just double the chip value. I would expect the chip count to change, unless there are some behavioral changes that occur as well. Hmmm.
