Hey everyone,

I’m on the hunt for a set of poker chips and would love some advice!

I’ve been eyeing the Nexgen Remix Pro Clay chips (from the Poker Store) because I absolutely love how they feel but want a size more inline with casino chips. They’re listed as 39mm, but here’s where I’m a little confused. When I compare them side-by-side with the Nile Club chips (also listed as 39mm), the Nexgen chips actually look larger.

For reference (see photo):

  • The Nile Club chips feel similar in size to the Fontainebleau chips.
  • The Majestic Star chips are noticeably the smallest of the bunch.
So, here’s my question: Could this be a bad sample, or is there some subtle difference in size or edge design between the Nexgen and Nile Club chips? Anyone else run into this?

Thanks in advance for any insight!

The majestic star chips were likely much larger before all of those hours of use in the casino wearing plastic off on hands, tables, racks etc...

Overseas created chips may have more variance in materials/production methods resulting in chips that feel, sound and wear differently.

Unless you are mixing sets, most pre-made sets of chips are at least consistently the same if ordered from the same production batch.

You are looking for Official Casino Size chips? I wouldn’t compare majestic star to anything, most are so worn it’s sad. I’m surprised you would accept chips in that condition yet fractions of a mm in diameter tilt you.
