I don't have a flamingo but I do have a dg Saturn and I think canary is a better choice. Saturn has a greenish tinge to it which won't be as nice with the blue IMO.


Might wanna crop that image a touch also ;)

This makes me realize I've selected DG Saturn for the quarter without having it in hand.

Is that the best, brightest yellow for pairing up with DG Pink, or is one of the others stronger?
 
Stocky is correct, DG Saturn has a green tint that can look strange with other colors. I think Canary is a better choice with a blue base.

From samples I have, I think Canary is closest to the Flamingo $1.

Does anyone have DG Saturn and a Flamingo $1?

With respect to the base, I am leaning towards Peacock not Light Blue. I know it's darker but it's an awesome color wot I named...

Just looked at my scroll mold samples and canary is definitely closer than saturn but DG yellow may be a closer shade yet. The Flamingo yellow is brighter/deeper than any of the CPC yellows (my flamingo chip is the newer inlay if that matters).

but if you are going with the katy then canary is probably the best choice for that IMHO

Yes, I know the words, but any possible wordplay didn't make sense to me without bunnies or faeries on the label, so I thought I'd ask, just in case.

Prolly a localization thing - all my players get it and phonetically it's almost identical with our kooky accents. :)
 
My sample set is on loan, but I'd think canary is closest to the Flamingo yellow spot, and I'd go peacock as base. For the quarter it just depends on what you'd like, I could see any canary, dg yellow, or saturn.

Is there anything you'd change about the inlay design? Color? Logo? Denom positioning? Strapline?

Honestly for me. I wouldn't change a thing about the overall design.

One thing I would consider is maybe moving over the $1 and $5 towards the centre just a touch. But it's not even a real issue.

I had thought this. John didn't think it was an issue but I think they could move a touch.

From a design perspective they are probably aligned exactly the same as the others (I mean it's J5, how could they be off, he's a master). But because all the others have 2 or more digits it doesn't look that way to the eye.

I see what you're saying but not sure about moving them inward. I think they're on the edge so they help form the left semi-circle of elements (from the B in Black to the B in Born), which may help balance the whole image.

I see what you're saying, but in the same sense they could almost outwards then.

To hard. Leave as is. As Chris said they are purrfect :)
 
Just make the inlays orange with pink text. :whistle: :whistling::p:D

The only thing to worry about now is breakdown. Get more. More. More.
 
I concur with Chris. The only change I would consider is to make the $25 a $20, but that comes down to personal preference. Either way, these are perfect.

I guess I'm piling on the "no changes" bandwagon. They are phenomenal. I absolutely can't wait to see the proper base/spot combos.

However, the Dildo Baggins chip should be made and given to the player who loses the most in your game each year. "Congratulations, you are a dildo."
