Curious how many other Barrington owners have them like this?
I love the idea of modifying the table to tuck the topper underneath. I think I'll do that next time I order.I’m still waiting for some adventurous barrington owner to lift the rails by 1/8” by unscrewing them and adding a spacer. Then you could order a topper that’s an inch “too big” and tuck it underneath the rail.
It’s been said before but unfortunately it’s an imperfect process to ensure perfect fits each time. Barringtons are not all created equal, and custom made-to-order products will always have some degree of imperfection. Customizations of the table like what I mention above are likely the only way to ensure a perfect look, but I understand it would require some effort so I’m not surprised nobody has tried it out yet.
I ordered one 48x48 topper and one Barrington topper. The 48x48 is a perfect fit for my table and the Barrington is too short on both the width and the length. I thought it would "fill out" a little after playing, but after a 2nd run it's still too short.
Love the colors and feel of the topper, and will definitely order more in the future. The weird smell goes away after leaving it out in the open air for about 1.5 weeks.
Don't currently have a good picture of the shortness of the topper. You can see it somewhat on the left side and far side of the photo.
