Nevada Jacks was well known to have "spinners". Especially chips that you received as gift on certain poker referal sites were said to be so. IIRC this defect was limited to early production series. There was a forum where NJ was actively writing, was it on their own homepage?... I once bought such B-class chips when they were cleaning up their inventory and there I noticed spinners but also color imperfections

You can have spinners with ceramics, I have seen some bad ones with the Nile club. Most that I have played with seem to be fine. Never had one playing with Nevada jack skulls.
