I decided to start this thread to re-kindle old memories of when the home market was young
and developing. Many fun times were had, and many of you were a part of that. New chips,
new concepts, new products introduced. While this may stir up memories for some, it likely
may be a first glimpse of some stuff for the newer degenerate ;)

I will try to post something every day or so as I have time!

First off, thanks for posting this, and for the thread in general! I look forward to seeing more great stuff from you soon.

Second, if you still own the chips in that thread and have no use for them, let's chat. I can think of a use or two :)

Third, if you designed the line and J5 designed the inlay, what are the odds of getting these chips generally reproduced at CPC, with maybe a tweak or two. Of the current molds, the H-mold is the one that immediately comes to mind only because of the circle surrounding the chip/inlay. We've got DG Peacock available now, and I know of a number of folks that would love to get their hands on chips like these. They will obviously be more expensive than the originals, but I feel like those newer to the hobby really ought to have a shot at owning some great Mardi Gras v3 chips :D

EDIT: FDL mold is clearly a better thematic fit than the H-mold, although the inlay would need resized (which I don't think would be an issue). I know some folks don't appreciate the non-textured inlay of the FDL, though.

Let's make it happen?

Come on it's New Orleans. Plus the H-mold is already used for the Key West.

Nice thoughts!!
I own most of what I sold including art and a couple molds.
Unfortunately, There is not an outlet for making chips these days outside of CPC (clay) and Game On (ceramic)
and neither of these are "Vendor" friendly, meaning I could produce a design for retail. Whether you liked them or not,
for me BCC was "Vendor" friendly when is came to what they produced and offered me the ability to offer designs
to others. Seems those days are gone for good
 
I'm sure I bought a veritable mountain of Paulson Pharaohs from you back in the day (damn sellers remorse now, that's for sure). Are you still in the chip selling business at all?

The first non-dice chips I bought probably in 2004.
I could not find any pics of the set so I hope this is OK.....

As a disclaimer, it is safe to say that all the "Casino" chips are no longer with me as I had to make a living.
Most all the "Home" sets are ones I kept in the course of vending those sets and still use when I get a chance

"Home" sets are going for a premium right now if/when you decide to sell...just saying. :D
