Got to love those Trk Oasis clubs, a genius must have designed that logo, bought a large set, waited forever, then sold them all and the hot stamp away.

Eh give me a last shot at them, I wouldn’t mind having a piece of that part of my past back.

Wow, I can't believe I missed this thread. I was on vacation at the time, and just found it now. So sad.

Michael and I worked on countless projects together over the past ~15 years(!) and he was always one my my favorite customers to work with. We never actually met in person, but we had many great conversations and I genuinely considered him a friend.

In recent years he moved his focus away from the chip business to focus on his other passion Huskies, but we continued to worked together on various projects here and there. In fact we even had a couple of chip related items on the go last year and I'd been wondering why I never heard back on a few things as he was always prompt to reply. Now I know why.

Michael was the absolute best! He was a true friend, most loyal customer and VIP. We 'met' early in my chipping career shortly before I created Nevada Jacks and well before him starting holdempokerchips. I honestly think he bought a set of every single 'real casino' chip I obtained and a set of every single 'home game' chip I ever produced (as evidenced by the postings of his prized sets). Michael had a standing 'golden ticket' to every release I ever had. He was very modest with his access though. He would only purchase exactly what he wanted and NEVER abused his privilege.

Michael was very big in the collectible card market prior to entering the poker chip space. From what I remember he controlled a large distribution of protective sleeves for things like Pokemon cards. He would send my young son hundreds of very collectible cards.

Michael and I collaborated on many projects. We spent countless hours on the phone. One time, we met in Las Vegas at BCC where I picked out my colors for them to take over for ASM making the Nevada Jacks clay chips. I was also picking colors for the Martini Club chips. That day we agreed for him to lease my suits mold for his first clay chip line.. Mardi Gras. I never audited its use. Every couple months I would get a check from Michael. His word and reputation was everything. He was also responsible for me making the original plaque mold and I produced his plaques for many years.

Here is a story that tells everything about Michael. He purchased a lot of my own 'personal' sets of some of the most rare chip sets in their most pristine condition. I will tell you these sets went for well into the 5 figure$. When he finally sold that collection of 'real casino' chips he came to me first for my blessing. I was stunned. I told him that he owned them and that it was completely up to him. He said that he would have been uncomfortable doing it without me knowing. Just WOW.

He was passionate about his chips, this community and his friends. My friend.. you will be greatly missed. . Thank you to @Potsie1 for taking the torch. My best wishes to you.

Michael was a super cool guy to deal with. I still remember all of those Paulson Web Mold Blanks he acquired! The most beautiful chips I ever saw. I bought as many as I could but Always want more! RIP Michael we will never forget you.

Oh wow. So sad to hear this news. I haven't been here in a long, long time. I was going through some of my collection that I am considering selling and was going to reach out to Michael. Super nice guy and was always a pleasure to deal with.

Wow, so many memories that I hadn't thought about or even realized I remembered. To be there at the beginning was something special to me and I feel honored to have been a chipper during this magical time. Hard to believe how things have turned out. I thought when I exited the chip world, focusing on raising three boys, that opportunities would continue to grow and the only limitations would be what your imagination could bring forward. Couldn't be further from the truth. Mr Patton has a special place in poker chip history. I still have some of his promotional chips. RIP Sir

Holy Crap! How could I have missed this for all these years. Michael was nothing short of amazing. With every chip order he'd include a custom chip with the them of whatever holiday was coming up. I used to have tons of them. I'll have to go look. He made me 5 or 6 thousand Hot Stamp T-molds "back in the day" -- sold them all. If you ever see any. "PPT - Peddy Poker Tour" chips around, that's where they came from. Chipco Classics, Speakeasys, and more. His love for his dogs was always in the mix too. I appreciate the original post and those that have followed with their stories. Michael was one great guy for sure.
