Mission accomplished: Chanman crushed a home run with my new table (3 Viewers)

Holy hell, that table is sweet! The only way it could get better is if it were mine, and it was a US NAVY table!! Ha ha, I jest. Enjoy that table!!

So I'm generally nonplussed that someone hit a homerun using a table, but am far more impressed that Chanman picked up a poker table and swung it like a bat. You're jacked up? I think not. Any dude that can wield a @T_Chan table in that manner is a most impressive specimen of a human being!

On the one hand, I have to wonder why you let someone use your table as a bat. On the other, any person that's yolked enough to pick it up like a bat and swing it might be a bit hard to stop. I have to assume that the ball dented the plywood surface, yeah? Is the felt still intact?

Anywho, very nice table! Where were you stationed?

Lastly, a special shout-out to @Seeking Alpha Social Club, who graciously took time in early July to respond to my PM questions and provided his opinions on church chairs since he has them at his tables. Gassers in the greater Kansas City metro area are difficult to come by –– missed out on the Harrah’s KC chairs last summer –– and I’ve been in the market to upgrade my old restaurant banquet-style chairs.

Decided to go with church chairs because of Alpha’s strong endorsement and I rolled with the 20.5-inch wide and 4-inch seat padding units. They match the table, are comfortable and will more than hold me over while I’m on a never-ending search for Gassers, unless I decide to just stick with the church chairs.

All we need now is a poker game...

Absolutely! There are some Army vets that play my game. I'm close to the Legends area. Haven't hosted since early March, but will definitely keep you in mind.

You can tell objects with lots of built-in love from miles away!
Next step IMHO: Lights hanging low just above player's heads (so that no extraneous light gets into their eyes).
Most important of course, is players themselves, as you already pointed out.

Beautiful table, I have a question about chairs, I saw you linked Biz Chairs, did you like them? I need to upgrade my chairs and have looked into gassers and found a place to buy them but pick up only but also looking at that site, so just curious is the quality good for the price?

Seriously is that like 6" of padding on the bottom of these chairs. Look even more comfy that your grandmas 40 year old couch that you sunk down a foot into!! I love Gassers but seriously these just look next level!!

Thanks, @hex. I was also in the market for Gassers, but they're rare in my area.

I took @Seeking Alpha Social Club's recommendation and endorsement for church chairs before I made the purchase and haven't regretted a second to go with them as an upgrade from standard banquet chairs. The current chairs are quite comfortable with the wider width and 4-inch padding and provide excellent bang-for-the-buck pricing. More importantly, my players like them and I haven't heard one complaint. Local KC PCFer @Chester Copperpot was recently at my place and he provided an unsolicited compliment on the chairs after sitting at the table.

Eventually, I will upgrade to Gassers since I still keep an eye out for a set locally. But until then, what I have now more than does the job.
