My reply from Eddie at
sales@gamblerswarehouse.com:
"They are not damaged. It's a
corner cutting process."
My reply back is probably not fit for print here.
A followup from Eddie:
We can issue a 25 percent refund.
We got these from US Games so its not our cards.
We have already notified them of the issue.
Wow,
horrible excuses from a retailer..
They seem to be "
groping" for reasons not to make good on
Their sale.
I received my setup Saturday, & was going to simply put them away as a spare, but I opened them after reading about your ace, & luckily my setup is perfect, no problems.
I am an electronics retailer myself, & could never with a straight face say to a customer that bought something, with a bill from my business,
this week, " Hey, we got these from "{
insert company name customer never heard of} , so the fact that you bought it from us has now become meaningless" ....
The sales slip / charge is a legal document between you and the business that charged you, they simply can't decide to swap their legal obligations over to a random 3rd party they blert out in an email after the fact! Tell them you will contest the charge unless full refund,
they can take it up with "US Games" whoever
they claim they got them from, it's not
your problem. And as you are already aware it's not any "corner cutting process" from that mfgr either...
I have a few setups of these, they are my favorite cards, both for feel and the unique way both the number pips are full size on the card ( instead of shrunken into a small yellow or white center box), & the jumbo indexes .. & have never had any problems with them ..
Hopefully all goes well, keep us posted..
