Wow, I heard this about Kems, which I have avoided, but not about Modiano Platinums.Totally normal sadly. It doesn’t affect the playability imo bit it’s still a shame…

I am sorry to hear that. All of my Modiano Platinum decks are warped as in your pictures, but I don't mind. So I guess they have some quality issues and that's maybe why they sell it cheaper than usual. I didn't test them yet, because we have older cards to use first. So as of now I can't give any feedback how they are in play.FYI, I have been really wanting to try some of these cards so ordered 2 setups from Amazon.de. Sadly, when I opened the package I discovered both sets had noticeably concave warping.
Thankfully Amazon gave me a full refund and I do not even need to go through the hassle of returning them. Was wondering if anyone else has run into this issue buying these cards from Amazon.de. I thought about ordering some more but the fact two separate set ups had the same issue has me very hesitant to order more of them.
@Goldfish ever had this problem with any of the set ups you ordered in bulk?
In my experience all Modiano cards can have a slight bow. Some decks come perfectly flat but it's the exception (I have maybe ten decks total. Platinums, Texas Poker and Bike Trophy bridge/jumbo). What's different to KEMs is that the bow doesn't get worse and flat decks stay flat.Wow, I heard this about Kems, which I have avoided, but not about Modiano Platinums.
Personally, in my opinion, the best cards are paper BEE. But, they are not as durable as plastic. And the point of acetate cards is that they get the feel of paper, but have the durability of plastic. But, paper cards bend very easily. And no one complains. But, acetate ones are criticized....In my experience all Modiano cards can have a slight bow. Some decks come perfectly flat but it's the exception (I have maybe ten decks total. I haven't had any from Pyatnik, but I want to try.
Right now I spontaneously bought 16 Modiano Platinum..
My wife's sister works at the Trefl factory. And sometimes she brings souvenirs. And I can say that Poland makes amazing cards, if they want. Or apparently, depending on what you order. Both plastic and paper. But, among all the possible options, I would choose paper ones from America, but plastic of all kinds from Europe. 100%.![]()
Quick followup on the Modiano Texas Poker cards after two games:Oh crap! You're right! I saw the box and assumed they where PA!Oh well, always wanted to try the Texas Holdem
