Had a blast designing with Evan. Hopefully we have another run in us. We briefly discussed a project that could be a lot fun in the future.

All 70 something pages of dueling feedback was a blast and also a part of what makes my set so much more vibrant to me and dear to my heart. And I think you already have other HOF sets designed within the history of that conversation thread.

Your set is incredible. The chip design is perfection and the colors are just incredible. The inlay is gorgeous with the awesome font work and just killer theme and color matching. I am obviously s huge fan.

So excited to see these out in the world.

Bravo!

How it all began…

I LOVE the dime, might be my favorite chip

For all the glam DG colors in the lineup, the dime does it for me as well, awesome color combo on this chip. Love the $20 as well, looks like CPC did a great job with those 6DS18 spots.

Congrats on a great set @JeepologyOffroad! Question for you - it looks like you've got an alternative font / logo style on your custom cloth (reminds me a bit of the Mohegan Sun branding). Was that font style in consideration for the inlay at some point?

Honestly, I have always steered away from CPCs mainly because you can’t get the 44 mm in many of the molds. BUT seeing this set (and @Eloe2000 ’s set), I think I am now on board and a believer! Even my wife loves these sets. Truly awesome!

I tried previously to design a set taking the approach of making my favorite chip designs possible. And I just kept bailing because there are so many possibilities that I couldn’t make up my mind and get excited about one specific design. In the end it was coming up with a personal design approach with specific design inspirations that I had a connection to and then spending a lot of time on the design process that led me to something I was really excited about. I would say try and identify a theme that you have a connection to and give yourself a purposeful direction with the chip designs and then spend a however much time on the process that you need. Enjoy the process. If you get there you get there. If not don’t force it.

It just wouldn’t be true to Cali colors without one *ugly* chocolate chip in a sea of bright color. Plus I’m just a big fan of chocolate. Cpc does that color well.

The amount of hours into this set is absurd honestly lol. I tried a few fonts. Have a few more in a completely different style I’m working on for possible future sets

It's rare when you expect a masterpiece and it somehow exceeds those expectations. I was the first person to react to this post but am still mostly speechless at what really to say. Phenomenal!
The highest of praise. Thank you. It’s not something I expected when I started working on CPC, but towards the end, after the blind sample sets, I definitely felt the pressure  :ROFLMAO:

This set turned out amazing!! Congrats! Mark me down for a sample too if they ever come available!

Awesome set John! You crushed it. The $20 is my favorite.
Appreciated Travis. I now understand what you mean when you call your own customs your grail.
I never wanted to make my own cpc set until now. I keep coming back to look at these
Do it. Seeing how you love relabel customs I think you would really enjoy the creative process and getting to choose everything about your chips.

Are the spots on the $20 custom? I see you only used 3 colors instead of 4 on the spots.
Nice catch. I wanted something as close to a bearclaw as possible. So it’s alternating 3 colors rather than doubling up on a single color to use only 3. It’s why David limited the amount he was willing to make. Wasn’t something you can do in the tool. Ended up costing me a couple extra levels higher to do it.

Nice work John, these came out great. I'm not a fan of dark labels personally but somehow you pull it off very well. Beautiful!
I’m team white inlays all the way too…so I’m surprised with myself for actually pulling the trigger. With this theme black was kind of an obligation. Gives them more of a “special” feel compared to my all my other white inlaid chips so I’m glad I did it.
