Hi there from Australia! Been wanting to get a set for myself recently so have been buying lots of samples. As you may know the selection here in Australia is very limited.

By ruling out the 14g slugged chips we basically only have ceramics left. I have tried a few ceramics like the "Casino Grade Ceramics", "Value Ceramics" from JacksPoker and a few from pokershop.com.au, but I just can't seem to deal with the really sharp sound of them clicking together. Is this just a property of Ceramic chips that I cannot avoid?

Interestingly, I really like the "Luxury Hybrid Ceramic" (same as Casino Royale Range) chips from JacksPoker. They are the same weight (almost) as the chips used in our Casino (Crown Melbourne), and have a much lower pitched sound which is nice. They claim to be polymer composites but that's all the info there is.

Does anyone have more info about this or ceramic hybrids in general? JacksPoker is at $2.09 AUD (or 1.30 USD) / chip and that's pretty expensive - would love to order it from China potentially for some savings. Also open to ordering from the US.

The Tina hybrid (ceramic chips with a recess for a vinyl label) sound the closest yet to a clay chip. Not as bright sounding as a standard ceramic chip. I recommend samples if you can before purchasing.

Forget them.

China sourced ceramics (Tina) on one of the newer molds will likely outperform (or at least equal) them in quality at less than half price with full customization options.

Sun-Fly would be another excellent option.
I have found this to be true - I've ordered sets from both and been happy with the outcomes.

For samples, it might be best to post a wanted ad in the classified section. You could save some money on shipping if an Australian member is looking to get rid of some of their samples.

Is there an Alibaba link for the vendors of the hybrid ceramics? e.g. Tina or Anita's link - thanks!
I wouldn’t recommend going it alone with Tina/Anita. Dealing with timezone and language barriers, plus many other pitfalls regarding art, etc.
With Justin’s Broken Arrow group buys, he has the Greek mold exclusively (if you want that) and will handle all other aspects. You can even pick from stock designs for chips and use a custom label if you like, or choose one of the many stock labels. Plus, I think it may be less expensive because he is ordering in bulk.

I'm based in Australia tho - isn't Justin's group buy US based?
