Haha it did. Think I need to walk away for a few days, so that I don’t go from initial thought to order made in the space of 3 days.

Since @Coyote and @crussader mentioned the pink elephant thing, I thought I’d try it out. Unsure if it ruins the theme a bit, given that I’m matching base colour and edgespots to actual animals, but I kind of love it.

No, don't loose (in my view) the charcoal as base color for the elephpant. I meant I prefer the pink edge spots to other edge spot colors for a given charcoal base, for that animal.
I would also use either 3- or 6- edge spots for a well-rounded   animal. 4 edge spots, reminiscent of a cross or X, tend to disrupt the roundness - in my imagination, at least :)

I was actually thinking just keeping it as a subtle reference by using the pink spots. I also vote for the charcoal base.

Yeah, I am kinda leaning back toward the charcoal elephant too...

If I 'm not over-fine-tuning instead of you, I 'd prefer pink and black (not white) spots on the pachyderm.

Tried that already. Wasn’t sure I like it in 814, i think it looks better in 4v12.
Happy to take all the feedback and suggestions possible. That way I’ll look at things I might not have considered.

For the quarter, I think the 314 spot blends the best with the rest of the set.

For the $20, I like the 814. I would try using gray/pink spots instead of white/pink just to see if that looks any better.

So i think I’m mostly set on these now, particularly the edgepots, but I’d very much appreciate any honest feedback or suggestions on the inlay (or spots if you have any).

Please let me know if anything pops out at you as being something that could be improved, as I really want to get these right.

Since you 're asking, I 'll treat it as mine (which is not):)
-I stubbornly insist on 6A14 (if not the more expensive 6D18) for the elephant, whose base I would clearly make charcoal. I more than love the 4V12 but not for this concept.
-Inlays: Maybe more focus / zoom on the animals and have less trees/landscape (the concept of sunset/sunrise though is excellent)
-Frac perfect
-Now that you lost the blurple on the 1, I miss it (but chances areI I 'll get over it:)). Wonder if you would like to make the base blurple and /or have the Peacock for edges?

Thanks for the thoughts. I did consider 6d18, but didn’t like it enough to justify the extra cost.
I am a bit torn on the base of the $20, but decided on 4v12, I feel that there aren’t many other better spot options without getting silly on the price.
100% set on the $1, it’s now my favourite chip. Dg peacock is also my favourite cpc colour, so it has to be included.

You too like torturing yourself, don't you?
Leave that frac alone - or have 2 or 3 of the new spots - IMO
