Muthaload 2.0 countdown is still killing me........ (1 Viewer)

Old people like to sit a lot. Don't ask why I know this......

So I am at the airport getting ready to board my flight headed to the land of the Muthaload 2.0. I have a very important meeting today! .....

Oh and I am also meeting a customer for a business meeting to close on some new business. [emoji3][emoji3][emoji3]
Anyway, I am looking forward to meeting everyone tonight.

And so it begins. The calm before the storm, if you will.

Cards pictured in the slots are Mike's Exit Only Lounge customs. Dark room because this is the middle of the summer in the desert...we don't need any extra heat in the homestead right now.

Just landed in Phoenix. Meeting pushed until 1:00 so must find things to do. Hopefully check in to the hotel early.

Glad to see you made it safely back to the states Mike!

I hope there is some serious prOn before too long!
I'll have some pictures up later today or tomorrow, but unfortunately not nearly as many as I hoped for. Time quickly became a limiting factor. I think we went through the contents of the first two boxes, but then after that it was do a quick look-see, repack, and move on. I originally thought it'd have been cool to break everything out of the boxes ahead of time and have things all separated by set, in which case I would have taken pictures of all the sets individually, but then I realized it would suck to rob Mike of the opportunity to crack his mystery boxes and see what's inside - nobody likes it when someone else opens their gifts for them, right? So once that option was off the table, it was time, conversation, food, and poker that took over. Unfortunately we had to do it on a weekday where Abby, David, and I all had obligations the following morning, and Mike needed some rest before shoving off for California today.

lol, like a kid in a candy store....

Can't wait to hear Mike rave about his new favorites (and post massive pr0n of everything).

Well the food was great along with the company kept. Many thanks to psypher1000 and Mrs. psypher for being such great hosts. Thank you slisk250 for picking me up and letting me in on the unveiling of the Muthaload!
It was great to put more names and faces together, talk chips and play poker. It is unreal to see this type of camaraderie in this day and age.
I got leave with a few samples and shufflers thanks to Scott and I also left with some new friends.
It was pre at to meet pokermijo who got to see some great chips.
8 more days to the rumble!!!
Get some rest mike and let me know if you need anything!

David

Man I have to read my post before hitting send when I am posting from my phone. Pleasure to meet pokermijo is what the post should read.

Now that I've had some time to properly rest from this past weekend and get caught up on some housework, a few thoughts...
  • The more I see of the Terrible's lineup, the more I hate that they have different inlay colors. I'd love to mix some of the $1's and $5's together, but I'm not sure I like both the $1 and $5 from any of the four main Terrible's lineups. Also, I still deeply heart those St. Joe's secondary fracs...purrrrrrty!
  • The more I see of those coral SPM T100 chips, the more I just shake my head and wonder how in the hell that happened. They're great re-labelers, though...just ask @bentax1978!
  • I still love the MG v1's, wonky inlays and all!
  • Mrs. Psypher has now hit quads three times during our past two poker nights! May her luck continue (in pots that I've folded)!
  • @slisk250 has more chips than he knows what to do with - unless those chips are in his stack. Then he knows what to do with those. Otherwise, I just saw a whole lot of chips that already belong to many of you on this forum...you just don't have them in your possession yet.
  • The Mike's set...still gorgeous.
  • It was great to finally play some cards with these cats, and hanging w/them for a while only left me more excited for the Rumble a week from now (holy crap...only one more week!). It's rare that @pokermijo's schedule works out to where we can sling some chips, but we finally got to play some hands and show off our sets - his Nine Dragons & custom $20 plaques are a great starter set, and if you ask me, dude's already pretty balla for putting together a successful group buy in his first few months of chipping. That's a heck of a task for anyone to take on, let alone someone new-ish to the gig.
  • @David O took many of our chips, and I respect him for that. Good dude, that guy. Lookin' forward to hangin' out more with him & @DrStrange in a few days! He's also working very hard on the hot-stamped tourney solids group buy, trying to get it "just right." Even though I'm not likely going to be involved in the buy, I greatly appreciate the work & detail he's putting into it. It's clear he respects the hobby, the buyers, and the process as a whole.
  • Baaahhhrain! :ROFLMAO:

In response, I appreciate you and your lovely wife opening your home to us. I had a good run of cards and look forward to it continuing at the Rumble! I really appreciate the kind words and Let's get ready to Ruuuummmbbbllleee!!!!!!

BAAAAHHHHRRAIN!!!!

to piggy back on what @David O said, thanks for opening up your house and for dinner. I failed to mention that I greatly appreciate you guys accepting a lot of my rookie mistakes (betting a nickle on a min $.10 bet, not keeping track/knowing when i was BB or SB, spacing out when action was on me) I had a lot going on in my head trying to think of where my hands possibly stand, how much I should bet, etc... and I never thought I would put that much thought into a game of poker like that, even if it was micro stakes. I also didn't want to think too hard and waste time as I knew time was limited lol. One day I'll get a better work schedule, I promise haha

You can mix the primary and secondary sets from both casinos much better. In that case

Primary - STJ frac, STJ 1, MT 5, STJ 25, STJ 100, STJ 500
Secondary - STJ frac, MT 1, MT5, STJ 25, MT 100, MT 500

I had a great time but was zonking out due to jetlag. Thanks for the great food and beer. Can't wait to get to Colorado and continue to straighten out my chip mess.

I have a big box of racks to return to you Scott.
