My attempt at 3D printing racks (2 Viewers)

3d printed a single table tournament starting stack holder. This thing took forever haha.

Tried recreating the poker chip rack display I've seen people post on the forum a few times. It's made so that the barrels need to be removed or inserted from the top. The tolerances are guesswork, I have the inlaid chip slots at 39.4mm which may or may not fit a chip snugly depending on the printer. The barrels are 40mm in diameter and 68mm high so they should comfortably fit 20 39mm chips.

I haven't printed this yet, so beware if you try.

Looks great! Seems like I shoulda made the top recess a little deeper.
yeah that majestic chip just doesnt fit, but thats probably because the size increase with apache clays. I tried CPC and BR Pro ceramics and they both sit well. CPC is snug while BRP spins and doesnt stay put in the holder, but the depth looks good.

Adding a through hole in the center of top chip recess may make removing easier if snug.
Another idea is to make a few ridges inside for less contact area and a tiny bit of squish for fitting a larger range of diameters.

My latest 3D printer project is to make some racks. One of my goals is to print some custom-sized racks that will hold my 8V china clays that are too tall for normal racks. But to start with, I decided to model a copy of the Paulson rack as closely as I could. It was a good project to learn some new 3D modeling software, and it took me longer than I expected, but I'm happy with the result. I still need to do a few tweaks to the model, but I made a rough prototype print and the results are good. Here are some pictures. Keep in mind that this print is at very low quality to make it faster. Next I'm going to do a nicer print with a smaller layer height, so all the curves will be much smoother.

The chips fit nice and snug!

Looks great!

nice A1! Enjoy your future successful prints!
Oh, I am. I've already done nearly a dozen prints with no failures and all I'm using is the default profiles. Before I probably had 1/2 to 3/4 of my prints fail (mostly on the very first layer, but obnoxiously sometimes halfway through) Works like a dream so far. Loving the AMS, even for single color prints not having to switch the filament between prints myself is great.

Are the "ALL IN" text only on one side or both sides? If only on one side try printing with the words facing down on the plate, it will come out cleaner. If you are printing the words on both sides try changing the setting of TOP SURFACE PATTERN to Hilbert Curve (I dont know if that option is available on the A1). It should make the surface of the print comparable to the bottom of the print.

One side only. The plate I got was textured so that might not be the best option, but I'll try out the curve settings. Still learning.

The textured is actually perfect. Try it and you will be amazed how clean the print is. I printed this faced down on a textured plate using an A1 and look how it turned out.
