My response was to sell the Deja vu set to @detroitdad, so that he could sell it even faster than I did

I did get them in play three times before selling them.

Famous last words. I've muttered them many, many, times.

I stopped saying that a year or so ago. The only set that I say that about is my Sunsets. Even the bourbons could be fair game at some point.

And for my next trick I call dibs on the sale of a certain set of Mardi Gras that I suspect will be sold in the future.

Talking about my Mardi Gras? I don't know if I could sell them. I got them so damn cheap that I could never replace them at that price point. If I were to sell them to you for more than that I would feel guilty. I'm kind of forced to keep them lol.

When (I know longer say "if") I sell my next set it will be my mixed Paulson's. Out of my sets it is my least favorite.

Yep sounds about right then, would definitely have been me. Nice set actually, you still have them?

I also sold some PCAs on eBay too which would have been extremely cheap by today’s standards.

I guess I’ll keep this thread updated with any new purchases that I inevitably make and I’ve made a couple more since starting this thread.

I’ve already given up with this lineup

And have replaced the higher denoms with some AS chips, though I’m still hoping that one day @Chippy McChiperson @Toby or friends might be able to assist with the replacement of the barrel of green chips

I’ve also order some secondary $5s for my Motswari set and an extra barrel of $20s

And if I run good in Vegas in May, there will be a new mixed mold Vegas set in the works.

A bit of an update on the journey

I’ve also ordered a stt set of the matsui horseshoes.
Plus I’ve got a couple of extra chips I don’t know what to do with yet.

I've got another update to this thread now, as quite a few changes have happened to the collection.

The Cali THC set has changed and grown. I've got 3 racks of 312 yellows now for 5s and harvested enough Paris 1s, so that I've got nearly 4 racks.

The PCA set had to go, to partially fund the Vegas trip, because of the downswing, but I won a decent amount back the week before leaving and found a bit more cash to put towards it, so I bought the Mardi Gras and a new RHC relabel set (which will become an entire S&K set)

I also managed to harvest 2 racks of mint Mandalay Bay 1s, which will be paired with sdpm t100s and luxors as fracs. This will be a long term relabel project, as I've got a long way to go on my main two relabel sets.

I've also got a 1000 chip Matsui Cali coloured set on order.

Well the Harrah's were harvested specifically for another member.

I let the mgms go at cost because I didn't need them and I kinda ran out of luggage space, 12 racks in my carry-ons lol. I traded the NYNYs for a rack of inlay replaced sdpms, the Bally's I auctioned off and the rest I kept.

In terms of Vegas 1s, I brought home:
300 Paris 1s
250 Mandalay 1s
70 Luxors

I miss those NYNYs already, but I didn't need any further excuses to start new sets

I do have history of selling sets, but I'm really hoping this one is a forever set. Its Cali THC, it was relatively cheap to put together, will be a total bitch to finish doing the inlay replacement and it's going to be Motswari. That's a lot of reasons to be a forever set. We'll see though, this thread shows how terrible I am lol.

So we have another update and it's only 3 weeks later lol

Hundo sorted for the motswari set

I sold the RHC set already and i've bought 200 AS $5s, a rack of THC greens and a barrel of ES t100s to make a Vegas mixed relabel set.

The set will look something like this, but I'm not going to have any fracs and the $25 will be these and bit the WSOP t25 lol

I've also added a rack of Orleans silver $1s for my house mold set.

Oh and I updated my collection spreadsheet (yes I have a spreadsheet for my chips lol) and I realised that prior to Vegas I had 3740 chips total. I now find myself with 5430 (including loose racks not part of sets) I've got to keep that from the wife lol.

IInterestingly enough, I only have 100 hundos in my entire collection. @liftapint will be most upset with me.

Hmmm time for another update to my whorish chip activities. So I sold the old school Vegas THC lineup, and i sold the Mardis gras. And I'm probably going to let the matsuis go soon.

The motswari inlay replacement set had an update too, and I switched out the $5s and $20s for some sbs. That set is done now.

I also bought a rack of cache creeks for my $20s and dunes hundos to finish out the mixed Vegas house Mold set.

Luxor and Mandalay labels are also finished. Thanks to @timinater for the help. I also need to finish up the cache creek label (@timinater I need to pm you about that to finish them and pay you. I kinda forgot to finalise them)

I also have another surprise set inbound, which will need to be milled and completed with new labels. It will be based around 4 racks of these as a $5 and will be about 900 chips.

Oh and I may have just thought a set of horseshoe WSOP 36mm tourney chips for my new league that I've started. I gave up trying to host cash for a while and figured I'd try my luck with tourneys. Can't wait to get those.

Let the ridiculousness continue. As mentioned, my cash games have kinda dried up, so I've been working on tourney sets for my league instead.

Had a blast designing these with @liftapint and @detroitdad but they came and went anyway. Bit too slippery in the end.

Bought these, but they didn't even make it past @RocAFella1s place for reshipping.

Sold the old school Vegas set to buy the wife a watch.

Then I bought these for a relabel set, but decided once I received them that they just didn't work together, so I sold them too.

Kept the house mold set, but I sold the mandalays because a couple of racks Sahara came up and I just love them.

These arrived and i must say, I really like them. @Hornet @Rhodeman77 and @detroitdad particularly like them, as they are all big fans of 36mm chips.

And then I decided that every man and his dog has a cali relabel set now, so I sold my motswaris (except for the casa and Paris).

I decided to go back to my roots with another PCA set. You just can't beat leaded, textured inlays. Plaques on the way too.

And I've also got a plain mold CPC set on order to commemorate the birth of my first child. Yep, I've got chips with my child's face on them lol.

Definitely don't plan to sell anything now, though I am after a couple of racks of PCA $5s to turn my tourney set into a cash and tourney set, with the Paris $1s to be relabelled as PCA.
