Lately, the stars have been aligning and I was able to acquire this awesome chip set. What better way to celebrate than to run a give-away contest?

Solve this ridiculously long word puzzle below and win a free (4) chip sample set!

Time, Event, Place, and Person [complete sentence... not necessarily in that order]

*** To solve this word puzzle, you have to find out a bit of history of these chips - what these chips are, what event they were used in, when they were used, and a famous person associated with these chips.

Yes, the word puzzle will seem like WTF at first, and I don’t expect anyone to solve it at first. I will reveal more and more clues that will guide people towards the solution. The clues may include filling in vowels (wheel of fortune style) on an irregular basis, depending on how close or how clueless people are.

The more information you gather earlier on, the easier it will be to solve this when certain letters are filled in. All information is available on the web, you just have to know where to look. The solution is a complete sentence and pretty straightforward. It will become easier as clues are revealed. There aren't very many of these chips out there (Only 2000 total were ever made and I have most of them) and the (4) chip sample set has very good collector's value - i.e. the winner will not be disappointed.

Contest Rules:

1) Contest will run until I see the first valid post containing the right answer. All proposed solutions / guesses should be posted here in this thread.
2) ONLY ONE GUESS PER DAY! All edited posts are void (including first guess), and guesses after the first one of the day are void. If your second guess of the day is correct and someone else copies it as their first entry, then that someone else wins.
3) Discussions are encouraged. Clue people in if you find out something. Sharing is caring and may end up leading you to the solution. Let’s keep this fun!
4) Clues will be given on an irregular basis to help guide towards the answer, depending on how close or clueless people are.
5) PCF members with a join date prior to 9/9/15 can participate, including international members. However, there is at least one member here who I believe knows about these chips intimately (I have already told you about this). In the spirit of this contest, please save it for the others!

I wish I had those chips here with me now to play my monthly game.
Person - me
Place - here
Event - a poker game
Time - now

I'll PM you the shipping details.

Putting my best detective skills to work here...

The white portion of the chip shows a fair amount of dirt, indicating some use, but the edges look pretty darn sharp, so they haven't been subjected to a ton of shuffling. I'm guessing a single event.

Not useful info, but info all the same...

Very good, these chips were used for a single 2-hour event.

OK, now I know the time, event, place, and likely person/people. Not sure how that gets me to the exact sentence you're looking for; stuff doesn't seem to fit quite right. Are the elements in the phrase in the same order you listed them, and do all words match up with the corresponding number of letter boxes shown?

Time, Event, Place, Person. Not necessarily in that order. The solution is a complete sentence that ties the person together with this event.

Yes the words correspond with the open white boxes. No trickery.

Man, there's several good clues but my Google-fu hasn't caught me up with @Ben yet...

"Danny Masterson wins the 2005 Palms Casino Resort Phat Farm / Stuff Magazine Las Vegas Casino Weekend - Poker Tournament" on a technicality?

Danny Masterson
wins the 2004
Palms Casino Resort
Phat Farm / Stuff
Magazine Las Vegas
Casino Weekend 3
Poker Tournament

WE HAVE A WINNER!!!

Wow, I really underestimated you guys… I really thought this was too hard and that I’d have to give vowels later. I guess Laura Prepon really snitched.

Can people explain the thought process?

Danny did win… but what was the technicality? Danny Masterson and Phil Gordon co-hosted the event. They had to crazy raise the blinds so the tourney can finish it in 2 hours.

You’re very very very close. Off on the time. It’s “2004,” and it’s “Casino Weekend 3.”

The internet screwed with you… I know some places say the pics were taken in 2005, but that was misinformation. The tourney was in 2004, as shown in the special guest pass picture in post #2.

The technicality was that I though Ben's ampersand was wrong. I saw the 2005 date searching online as well.
