Hello All,

Looking for help on ideas for a $1 chip!! Would love to hear from you. Read on for details and pictures.

I've been searching for $1 chip to use in a mixed set I'm working on but have not found something I've really loved, that might be available in quantity. Originally I was planning on doing a re-label job, to create a full Golden Eagle set but now I'm thinking about moving toward a leaded, shaped inlay, mixed set...

So at this point I'm happy to go in either direction. If I find a $1 (or any chip) suitable for murder, I'll move forward with my original idea BUT if I can find a great $1 chip that is just too awesome to put under the knife I'll change direction towards building the leaded, shaped inlay, mixed set.

Would love everyone's ideas on some chips to target based on my situation. I'm looking for chips I can get in quantity (2 racks) but feel free to share any cool chip's you think might work.

My requirements are for the chip to be leaded, THC and in excellent + condition (to match the rest of the set). I know this really limits my options and increases my budget but this is where I'm at.

In terms of colour and spot pattern I'm open to anything but if using for my GE re-label set idea, it should "fit" with my current chips. I'm leaning towards something with a thicker 3 spot pattern like 314+, 3D14+, 3916+ (but open to all ideas)

Im very much open to any recommendations for a $1 chip for a "true" mixed set. Really the only consideration for style would be the need to "fit" with the GEs. Does not need to be a shaped inlay.

Check out what I've already got below. Would love to get some input from the community on options to close out a set that will get my GEs in play (more often). Your help is appreciated!!

Thanks,

Difficult situation. "Leaded THC", "$1", and "available in quantity in Ex+ condition" are quite the restrictive criteria. There are plenty of live Las Vegas $1 that will fit the latter 2 criteria, but of course not the 1st.

And, of course, the obligatory musical memorial tribute in this case:

This lineup looks stunning! Definitely need a blue 3D14 for this set — although I'm not sure how many are readily available, sorry.

Ya. Totally get this is not easy... thats why I've taken my search public!

I am team blue for $1 chips... was thinking a $1 CDM, might work.

I don't know if they're leaded, but Eldorado Club $1s are a nice choice.

Paris, Bally's, Strat, etc. all have nice $1s... but I once again don't know if they're leaded.

Wow... those Eldorado are awesome. They might work for me but not sure they can be found in condition I'm looking for. Would love to be shown otherwise.

Ya... wow. These could be a very good option!!

Thanks for the suggestion!! I've looked at HSG. Specifically at the $10 or its brothers. I thought that might be my guy for a while but ultimately decided against as it gets a bit dirty with the VLV $25

I do like these... the only problem for me is the fit with Golden Eagles. I dont love that the spots on them are pretty much the same colour as Golden Eagles. I even got 10 of these to test them out...

Having gone through a similar search a couple of times I seem to remember there being some solid options. They're easy to ignore because edge spots are cool, but theyre probably an easier to find, cheaper option.
Then again, theyre usually used, so if excellent+ is a requirement, nevermind.
