And that's one of the reasons it took me five years to collect a barrel. If you really want 'em, you need to be prepared to pay stupid money to get 'em. Sad but true.
Also a standing lesson on why entire racks of live $1 chips should be walking out of casinos today world-wide, if they are really decent designs in good condition. Never know what storm tomorrow may bring.
It's a tricky thing. I figure I'm in this hunt for the long haul. I've gotten some singles on eBay for pretty cheap. And I guess I wouldn't mind paying stupid money for them here and there, but I definetly don't want to set the eBay market price for these at $10 per chip. So to preserve the potential for future bargains, I'm willing to lose some auctions.

I have a suggestion that may be easier to help you get to your goal. Find a way to get some Paulson Vineyard $5s then hit me up for a trade. I'm only trading hard to get chips for other hard to get chips.

I have 14 of the Grand Casino Gulfport $1s*. The fact that you need 3 more is kind of a perfect amount, because it would allow me to do one of the following:
A) keep 11, 1 for my $1 singles collection, and 10 more (for potential high denom relabel), and sell 3, OR,
B) keep 1, and sell 13.

One of these days he'll bow out and I'll get stuck paying $30 for a single chipThat's sick: The last two auctions which I have watched on eBay for single $1 Grand Casino Gulfport chips ended at nearly $25 per chip...:
