Hello PCF, I have been playing and hosting poker for a while now and just delve down the poker chip rabbit hole a few days. I am looking for any advice for buying my first nice set of chips. I am also always looking to find new people in my area to play home games with.

Welcome to PCF. You’ll find plenty of nice chips here! For suggestions, I’d recommend having an idea of budget, type of game (cash or tournament) and number of players you want to support.

Thanks for the insight, where would the best place to post something like that be?

Hey dub welcome to the club! What do you and your crew like playing?

If you’re going for good chips you gotta go clay all day! Again, welcome!

We are big on NL Hold'Em,
I would definitely like to pick up a set of clays just got to find the right set and justify the price to myself.
You'll find the right set. Or sets...

And the price is worth it for the good chips. I recommend only getting the chips you will use and not worry about high denominations that your crew won't ever use. Sometimes you will see high priced complete sets of chips. You can save some dough by putting the set together racks at a time.
