Someone link to the blue/yellow dress and let's all debate what our vision shows us

These look so different to me. The way I see them, the first one's an innie and the second is an outie.

And the dress looked pale blue with gold trim. (except for post #122 where it looks blue and black)

And the cat is walking on a level floor with a trompe l'oiel painting of a staircase. (not really, but it sounds good)

I think he's keying into the lighting. The drop shadow below the chip implies it's lit from above.

The shadows on the A-mold are consistent with the A's being impressions into the chip; the dark shadow edge is on top, and the lit edge is below.

The shadows on the Jockeys in the Jockey mold are inverted; the dark shadow edge is below, and the lit edge is above. If the jockeys are impressions into the chip, this is contradictory to the drop shadow of the chip. So it implies the Jockeys are raised bumps, not impressions.

Side-by-side:

When these photos were taken, the A-Mold was lit from top left, while the Jockey was lit from bottom right... or else the Jockey image is upside-down.
Yep, you descibed it better than I did. I thought if I just mentioned it that it would become evident without a detailed explanation of the highlights and shadows and the way the eye interprets directional lighting. But if it doesn't bother anyone, then no problem.

Anyone else having troubles on their iPad today?? I used it a couple days ago and it worked fine. Now it doesn't finish loading

Just wanted to say I've been really enjoying monkeying around with the new tool.

Especially liking the spot rotation feature. Very cool.

It's great that CPC and PCF have stepped up. I'm sure I'm not the only one who's waited a long time for a tool that includes all molds and colors.

Excellent work! :)

Finally got a chance to play with the new tool tonight. Very intuitive, and some great features. Me likely a lot. Well done, David, John, and Tommy!

Yup. Me too.

The outie is distracting, and I would be distracted by it while laying things out.

Fortunately, I'm not considering the jockey mold, so the point is moot for me.

David, while working with the new chip tool, I found myself wishing for a couple of minor items/embellishments that might be popular (and not overly expensive to implement):

1. providing your stock CPC inlay with black background (vs white), for those who plan on designing black inlays
2. providing your stock CPC inlay with transparent background (allowing the base color to show through), for those who plan on designing color-matched inlays

Also, I could not get the shaped inlays feature to work. Is this something that is not activated yet, or am I doing something wrong?

I am totally digging the new layout and features.

It was working for me when I was messing around with the Blue Chip mockups.

Yep, it was me. Didn't previously see that you can scroll down below "1-1/16 inch round" to find the shaped inlays. Good to go....

anyone else having a problem uploading inlay files? it keeps aborting when i try. tried resaving as a different file type and making the file size quite small, but still aborts every time. #prochoicebutnotnow

I get the same error. hmmm

I've been having a few problems getting the tool to load on my mobile this eve.

I got the inlays working okay previously tho, no probs on that front.

Yep, me too. Won't load as png or jpg using button or drag-n-drop.

Hi there. i was playing around with your chip design tool, and I went to your site to figure out prices , and I didn't see what level some of the spot patterns are. Could you please tell me what levels 3D18, 4D18, 6D18, and 8D18 are? Thanks for your help!

Those are Levels 6, 7, 8 & 10 respectively.

Is it bad that I went directly to the tool to see what a level 10 looked like - and if I "needed" an add on?

I love the tool. Just as I was finishing up my set it came out. But I was wondering ...

Am I the only one that wishes I could pick 3 or 4 spots at a time and just click the color once?
