There's been a lot of discussion about this in other threads. A LOT of us are totally against it. You want THC? Buy Paulsons. Why no THC option?

I've read most of that thread but don't agree with the notion that the THC mold should be off limits whereas other molds aren't. A LOT of us are totally in favor of it.There's been a lot of discussion about this in other threads. A LOT of us are totally against it. You want THC? Buy Paulsons.
Meh on all 4.
If I had to pick one, it'd be the greek key - but isn't that a common CPC mold?
Are there any other options?
thisor anything that wraps all the way around that way, would be pretty awesome, would add a ton of texture.
Maybe more friction too for less slick chips? The Greek mold gives options, the rest are spaced pips, just different shapes, I like the horseshoe or cigar better than cards, but it’s basically the same thing.

^ That mold is currently owned -- and bring used -- by GPI, offered to casinos only as the "Flower" mold for their Blue Chip brand of budget clay chips. Illegally using it would be no different than using their THC mold.the old BCC Sun Mold that used to be casinos only. I know it’s not on the list but it’s pretty clean and could work.

In fact, versions of all four of the molds in this thread's OP poll are owned by someone, and legally, each would need to be sufficiently modified to avoid copyright and/or trademark infringement. Same for the other molds (Roman, THC, Sun/Flower) being discussed in this thread.
Best option is a new unique design, or a Greek key variant that hasn't been produced before (i.e., not a copy of an existing mgk mold).
When you say owned what does that even mean? Playing devils advocate here, but how does one own a pattern? is there a registered trademark anywhere? Assuming there is one how would that apply to a manufacturer in China selling direct to poker chip degenerates?^ That mold is currently owned -- and bring used -- by GPI, offered to casinos only as the "Flower" mold for their Blue Chip brand of budget clay chips. Just beware that the more debossing a given mold contains, the less material it contains and the lighter it will be.I think since the key mold is winning pretty strong, it shows that at least people seam to want that textured fully wrapped mold vibe, now maybe make a couple repeating fully wrapped shapes to choose from and go with that.
Yes, 'ownership' includes copyright protection for the artist/owner, and in some cases, trademarked images for corporate owners. trademarked globally or just in the USA?Yes, 'ownership' includes copyright protection for the artist/owner, and in some cases, trademarked images for corporate owners. Yes, THC is a trademarked image.
Frickin' aussie criminals.trademarked globally or just in the USA?

A standard 10g no-mold 39mm ceramic blank with a continuous debossed pattern added around the perimeter will likely weigh close to just 9g.
Not an Aussie criminal, just challenging the US centric view of the world.Frickin' aussie criminals.
Considering GPI is a global company, I assume more than just the US. But ianal.
So everyone is going to be ok when the Greek blurs out the edge spots?
You're obviously more than welcome to have your own opinion, or start your own GB.I've read most of that thread but don't agree with the notion that the THC mold should be off limits whereas other molds aren't. A LOT of us are totally in favor of it.
CPC doesn't offer any of those and BCC molds are owned by GPI and have been retired. I would love it if we could convince them to bring them out of retirement and make some of those old molds for the home market, but that seems pretty unlikely at this time. You want Horseshoe, Cigar, Greek, or Suits? Buy CPC, or BCC chips.
I think a render is one thing but I can see the whole outside ring being a blur. People have to remember this isn’t clay and the printer will have to get down in all those grooves. I’m no poker chip expert but Ive been a product designer for 15 years.. the Greek is the winner so far but I don’t think it will turn out how guys think.this is actually a really good point. the color kind of washes out inside the mold pattern on card molds chips. this effect could be far more significant on something like the greek mold.
They average 9.6 to 9.8gHow much do these Cards mold chips weigh? I don’t even know?
Dave, I know earlier this year (or last year?) you were working on a new mold yourself. Did anything ever come of that? Did you drop the project or just slide it to the back burner. I was excited with some of the things you wanted to get done, specifically sharper edges.^ That mold is currently owned -- and bring used -- by GPI, offered to casinos only as the "Flower" mold for their Blue Chip brand of budget clay chips.
