Hello,

I've posted a couple threads already, but I have a couple questions...

1. How does one send a PM (I'm guessing PM means private message)?

2. How does one find out someone's first name? I saw a reference to Andrew, and Andrew may have even posted to my thread, but I'm not sure how I would be able to tell. I guess I could just continue to refer to people by their user names, but thought I'd ask.

Very much enjoying my time on here so far.

Welcome to PCF!

1) There are multiple ways to send a Private Conversation (AKA Private Message) to someone.
Click on their name or avatar, you'll get a popup, then click on the "Start a conversation" link OR click on the envelope icon to the right of their name in any post.

2) Ask them I guess. ;)

1. Click on their name, the select "Start Conversation."

2. Most of the time, user names are the best bet. Some of us know each other from meet-ups and the old days on ChipTalk, but it does get confusing.

3. We really could use a thread or tool to correlate user names and real names...IMO. Especially when PCF user names differ from what was used on CT.

Welcome to PCF

And check out this thread as a start for real names:

Thank you for the quick replies - very helpful. I'll have to create myself a little user name / first name cheat sheet of sorts The link provided should help me get a start on that. Thanks again.
