Blacks are sold out. Running low on other colors.Any other unicorn colors found? Thinking of getting a batch or two.
There might literally be a million poker chips in this photo.Things to never ask Gene for again:
China Clay chips (except the brown and white 8V's that I kept)
Random sticker chips (of course nobody on PCF ever asks me for them anyway)
Unicorn Chips
Chipco Roulette Chips

Lol you could have sold mystery boxes for $10 plus shipping. But I agree, shipping is too much of a pain nowadays.Things to never ask Gene for again:

We’re those clay chips the same? So, I'm a sucker for a "bargain", so I ordered a small amount of the China Clay Greek Key mold chips to go along with another order. I actually liked them enough to order more! Gene was clear that they are brittle and worthy of the dumpster, so my question to you all is, how bad are they? I like the looks, the weight, and I actually like that they are a little chaulky! I tried searching here for China Clay Greek or Key mold thinking I might find old thread with people bitching about them, but did not find much at all. Are they called something else that I should be searching by? Thanks!

Thanks, exactly what I was looking for! I was thinking of doing some self made labels for them, we'll see. Gene was very clear here about their condition and I'm fine with paying so little for them and rolling the dice and seeing if I can get some usage out of them, even if it's for a short time! I will start a new thread elsewhere about that. Not to clog up Gene's vendor thread but there are plenty of threads discussing the durability of different China Clay chips, just search the forum. Every batch are different and their durability varies.

... except when it’s inventory...It feels good to purge, doesn't it?
I have been looking for these blue ones for years! You could have sold them to me a while back....I have 300 from CT days and wanted another 700. I have since moved on, but I joined PCF for these chips. Funny, the ones I have are in good shape still, but they dont get played.China Clay - Greek Key Mold READ BEFORE ORDERING
Buy at your own risk. To me, these chips are brittle - I can break them easily. Not as brittle as the China clay solids we had before, but definitely not a strong chip that will last forever. I don't even know how these will do in shipping. They are chalky. Some colors are faded from the original colors.
5 cents per chip plus shipping. I see the following colors in the cases of chips: Blue, Green, Black, Brown, Purple, White, Grey. There are orange, but all of the ones I see are extremely faded and I wouldn't recommend getting them if you want an orange chip.
This is the last chance on these - After 4/9 they are being disposed of. NO REFUNDS - THEY MAY ARRIVE DAMAGED. YOU MAY NOT LIKE THEM BECAUSE THEY ARE BRITTLE. IF THESE CONCERN YOU, PLEASE DO NOT ORDER.
As you can tell, I don't like these chips. To me, they belong in the garbage - but I know not everyone will agree with this. If you want some of these, PM to order with your color/quantity breakdown, email address, and shipping zip code.

I thought the only Clay chips that they make are the “Greek Triangle.” I actually have a sample set from them if that’s indeed the same chip. Here’s a pic also
The "China Clay" chips that we just disposed of are completely different than the "Greek Triangle 'Clay'" poker chips on the brpropoker.com. The ones that made it into the dumpster were not a weighted metal insert chip. The Greek Triangle "Clay" chips are more of a plastic chip with a metal insert. We’re those clay chips the same?
I can’t say what the deal is with Gene’s Greek keys, but I ordered some China Clay spirit molds a while back and had a very similar experience. The spotted blues and pinks I dropped on hardwood and they survived, whereas the greens and greys were cracking just from applying labels. I could crush a spotted chip in my hand and end up with two chunks, or I could crush a green or grey and end up with literal powder. The solid reds I got were more durable than the other solids, but they were less “chips” more “crayons.”So, I received my Greek Key mold chips. Gene was nice enough to send me some extras. I actually really like these chips! They feel very claylike to me. I think the colors are great. The quality seems to vary a lot depending on the color though. Is this what other people have found? I am hoping that oiling them will help.
Purple, Grey - Great chips
Green, White - Very Good
Black, Blue - Very chaulky, faded, not sure how they will be - Oiling definitely brings the black color back, but not sure if they will quickly fade
Brown, Orange - Very poor, crumbly, probably should not use. Blue may also belong in this category, not sure yet.
So, is the main complaint with these that when you play with them if they are handled roughly they break easily? Or do they shed crumbs a lot? I can handle the occasional breakage, but I don't want them to make a mess of my table!
Thanks for your feedback. Especially the idea of washing them before oiling. Funny that you use the term crayons, the chips do distinctly smell like crayons! Also, something I just noticed is that the bad chips smell more like crayons and look more like clay chips than good color chips. The purple and grey look more plastic like and have more of a beveled edge. It looks to me like they started out trying to make them look and feel like clay with the first colors, but then realized that they were too brittle, and then started making them with a higher plastic content with later colors/runs?I can’t say what the deal is with Gene’s Greek keys, but I ordered some China Clay spirit molds a while back and had a very similar experience. In my experience, give them a healthy bath and let them dry before figuring out your next step. If you oil before you wash you’ll have crayon shavings on your tablenforever
