Non Discript Stock Chips with Denominations (1 Viewer)

Fwiw, those Monaco chips in your example are not centered on just the denomination

.

The numbers are slanted. Look at the base of the "1" centered in the background design. Either way it's hard to find another chip that looks like Veneratis. When my Father designed my custom chips he mentioned this principal to me as well. He is an art director and graphic artist so I trust him. Plus it just looks wrong to me.

That said not really that interested in this rabbit hole.

Could Gear labels possibly make a label like those for the Majestic chips? If so that would be pretty sweet. I may have look into getting those if they could.
@Gear can make just about any label you could imagine. Pretty those would a walk in the park for him.

As to the OP another cheap option for would hotstamped super diamonds. The only downside is they would be solids. While not the most glamorous idea, super diamonds handle fairly nicely.

I don't know the cost of that but that may get above the price of Scrolls...which is he ceiling on what I will pay for a backup secondary set of chips.

I need to learn more about his services though. What's the turn around time for gear labels?

I actually just order 500 Scrolls for $169. I'll see how I like them

If you end up not liking the Scrolls, 500 blank majestic's @ .38 per + 1000 custom labels from gear @ .10 per will run you about $290. Its more than the scrolls but you would be able to pick colors and labels to fit your needs exactly.

I spend most weekends in the spring and summer in hotels (travel softball) and the dads on the team love the majestic's (my travel set). Before that I used the Milano's for a travel chip.
Both are fine options for a travel chip, I wish I had been more patient and went the blank w/custom label route. I guess I can remove the majestic sticker and replace with custom labels, but too many other projects. Good luck!!

Did you get samples of the Veneratis? Or is the denom thing just too tilting to you? I only ask because the feel of the Veneratis is pretty damn nice for a budget chip.

I like the over all look more than the scrolls, I just can't get past the numbers.
Interesting you say that about the feel because they look similar to Chipco chips in photos. The scrolls seem to have a rough texture.
I'm also very curious if I will like ceramics in general. I like the idea that the artwork options are huge and I have a free designer to design them for me if I go for full customs.
I also like the idea that ceramics are easy to clean. My ASM customs have a slight tackyness that I can't seem to remove. They were used weekly for almost 5 years and monthly for many years after that. When I pick up my ASM solids that were only used twice I realize just how used the customs feel.
